Hmm...more shades of the Scottish Play and I could definitely see this being filmed. Nicely done.

Too well I can see this happening. Alas for the suppression of the Hobbit within Gollum.

Author Reply: I definitely see that Gollum was born out of Smeagol's need to suppress his own guilt. I can easily think that setting out to kill his conscience was a long and painful process.

Oh, yes. I'm sure there were many of those episodes.

Saruman in the last ficlet I didn't feel too sorry for, but ... just Poor Sméagol, here. Poor haunted Sméagol.
