Perfect! The Sacred King and his land were ever considered one. Beautiful.

Excellent!

I had not thought of Elessar as high king until I attended a workshop in Utah. Great presentation that gave me a lot to think about.

As does your story. Though short, it is sweet and gentle, strong and wild. As the land of Gondor herself.

Very well written and exquisite in its beauty.

Author Reply: There was a workshop about Aragorn? O_O Good to know there are things like that! I'm glad you liked my short story!

This is a beautiful story, amazingly written.

You already had me hooked with the POV - I absolutely adore stories told from the perspectives of "inanimate" things or concepts, and your Gondor is just so three-dimensional and vivid and *there*... Also the details you chose to make it come to life are well-selected, appealing to several senses.

Then the writing itself is wonderful, the way the sentences and paragraphs are structured, the rhythm and the repetition of the "Listen", like the heartbeat of Gondor or of Aragorn (or both).

I find 2nd-Person Perspective a very difficult concept to write or to read, and I tend to be sceptical of them, because they are seldom realised well, but you really nailed the quality of having it feel like a conversation the reader is merely listening in, and yet it also reads like a "proper" narrative.

Author Reply: Thank you very much for the review! I find the 2-nd person narrative quite compfortable for writing (I have a series of stories (Gil-Estel and Hope of a Star) written from Earendil's POV. I'm not sure I've read some other story where it would be used :D
