Author Reply: More ambiguous speculation than anything else, but the prompt asked whether the Ents and Entwives found each other and I prefer not to retread ground that other authors already have. | |

| So sad and bittersweet! But it looks as though Fangorn found his Fimbrethil in time for them to perish together...very Tolkien! Author Reply: I'm not sure if it's Fangorn and Fimbrethil themselves, or two other Ents. I prefer to think of Treebeard going through a dormant tree phase before passing altogether. Thanks! | |

| Oooh!!!! What a perfect story for just-slightly-belated Halloween...or even for Bonfire Night. I may have to reread it tomorrow (not that it'd be a hardship! :) ) I rejoice to know the Ents found the Entwives...although being dead like that...O.o. Wow.
