Oh! Lai! you are weaving a tale of sorrow and doing it so well. In their own pain, the family are hurting and tearing each other apart. There is no love being offered each other at this time when they need it most. Thranduil is even doubting his bond with Legolas. The relatives have simply rubbed salt in their wounds and, all in all, matters couldn't get much worse. Could they? Please let little Legolas "permit" Elrond and Glorfindel to bring him back to Mirkwood. Then, again, the way things are going for the house of Thranduil, getting back home may be fraught? I am enjoying your story Lai, and look forward to the next chapter.

Author Reply: yes, it´s a tale of sorrow indeed! It´s so hard to give comfort when the grief goes this deep. They have all soon come to their senses before the family is falling completely apart. Elrond and Glorfind had better hurry. I´m so glad that you are enjoying my story so much. Next chapter is done and will be also an emotional rollercoaster, I fear. Lai.

When my husband passed and I had to go to the funeral home and greet those who kindly came to offer condolences, I had a hard time going through the entrance door, too. You captured my and Thranduil's feelings well. I'm so glad he had his sons by his side.

My mother-in-law blamed the children and I for my husband's death. Not true, but it hurt so terribly, in the midst of our anguish. People, especially those who should be offering comfort, can deal the deadliest of blows.

Thranduil had to suffer with his wife's father and with his own sons' stupidity. Of course, they can be excused, if only a little, in that they were both suffering, too. They definitely needed their father's strength, but he had lost it in a glade of death. I've got my fingers crossed that the king recovers. He does have excellent friends and healers.

Very sad chapter. Very sad and well written.

Author Reply: I´m sorry if the description of the furneral brought back raw memories to you, yet I´m glad for your approval that I captured the feelings well. How can anyone blame another for the death of a loved one? Horrible thought! I have also suffered the loss of a family member and the comfort of the remaining is the most important thing. I´m sorry for you! Yes, the King´s sons act stupidly but they are also suffering and will see this in the next chapter. They have to support their father or all will fall apart and there will be no home Legolas can come to. I´m so glad you find the chapter well written. Thank you so much for letting me know. Lai

Hi Laikwalasse this story has taken my breath away, especially this chapter. You can feel the emotions and pain in this chapter. It jumps of the page and having the two brothers fighting is not doing any one any good.I really can't wait when Elrond and Glorfindel take our elfing back home. Please don't make things to hard for them,me thinks that Legolas is not going, to give them an easy time.LOL Galathil

Author Reply: I´m so glad you are taken by my story and that the emotions came around believable. It´s not so easy with a foreign language, all the more I´m happy you like my writing. Legolas is indeed making it hard but mostly for his father, I fear. He can of course not understand what is happening around him and why his father is so changed. But more in the next chapters. LOL! Thank you so much for reviewing, Galathil. I really appreciate it. Lai

Okay, that was seriously intense with all those angry emotions, especially Saeron. And Thranduil has suffered a collapse it seems. Not good. Not good, at all. ELrond and Glorfindel better hurry Legolas home or there might not be a home for the little guy to hurry to. Can't wait to see what happens next, Lai.

Author Reply: Thranduil´s lack of reacting is certainly not good at all, as we will see in the next chapters and the bringing home of our favourite elfling brings some relief of mind, yet even more trouble for our poor King, I fear. Deepending on my beta the next chapter will be up soon. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Fiondil. Lai
