I love Elanor's vision and the image of her falling asleep with the giant dog. And the exchange of songs and tales. And the trade competition. The cook and atrist 's excitement. And what a plot bunny is Arwen coming to the Shire. (-:

Author Reply: Thank you, my friend. It's great fun to 'change it up' and write about giant dogs, after so many years of writing about wee Scamp!

Great chapter!

I like it that He-An and his people are getting along so well with the others. And that Elanor experiences dreams like Frodo did, is also very fitting. After all, she IS very special!

But what I liked most - of course - was this:

“I’m the luckiest hobbit who ever lived, Aragorn.”

That makes me happy, too :-)

Author Reply: That makes *me* happy, too! Frodo loved and contented and surrounded by his friends and family... that's the true heart of this series.

Thank you, Andrea.

That's a lovely and ... peaceful update, with everyone being contented and all. Love the singing session. What I wouldn't give to hear Arwen and Pippin, and Gimli of course, singing.

I totally understand Aragorn's reasonings for forbidding men to enter The Shire, but how I wish that he and his family could still visit their hobbit-friends there!

Author Reply: Thank you. How we wish we could attend a happy gathering in Middle-earth like that!

Since this is part of my AU series, I debated whether Aragorn would still enforce the 'ban' in this story... but decided to leave it in. Frodo & Co. will (I'm sure) make many trips south to visit the King and his family.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get this! This is such a sweet ending. Definitely sounds like one of the reason Frodo considers himself so lucky is because he can spend time with his 'nieces and nephews' like Elanor and all. I have 10 reasons to feel so lucky myself and I love to have another thing in common with our dear! ;)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: You're indeed blessed, Aunt Antane. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed this gentle chapter.

I love your vision of a healed Frodo able to enjoy the fruits of his labours and enjoy a long friendship with Aragorn. How wonderful that Elanor should have prophetic dreams!

Author Reply: Thank you! In this AU, I can't imagine Frodo being anything but healed, loved, and completely at peace. What a joy to write!

What a charming and enjoyable chapter. I so love seeing the Ice Men getting along so well with our friends. I do also love Aragorn's sense of humour. Can't wait to read the next one.

Author Reply: Awwww, thank you. Our beloved friends in Middle-earth certainly deserve their peaceful and happy times after so many difficult ones.

Aragorn (in my AU, at least) has always felt so comfortable around the hobbits, it's a pleasure to highlight his 'lighter side'.

You are the first thing I am reviewing on my new computer!

This is such a delightful chapter, and it's so lovely to see all the ways in which the new people can interact with the people of Arnor!

I loved the idea of Elanor's dreams! This is such a delightful AU!

Author Reply: I'm honored! Congratulations on your new baby, and may you have many fun years together. :)

When everyone in a group tries very hard to get along and be respectful, it's wonderful what bonds can be created. And I always felt that there had to be something very special about Elanor; it's such a pleasure to share what I've imagined about her. Thank you so much!

Such a gentle and sweet evening, in which they learn so much of one another. Love that Elanor has the same gift that Frodo has known, and that she loves the dogs.

Author Reply: I was really looking forward to writing about this evening; there was so much I wanted them all to say to one another. I'm very happy you enjoyed it!
