Postulate is just a perfect one

Author Reply: Thank you so much! I don't think anyone escaped the Quest unchanged, but Legolas and Gimli seem to change the most while accomplishing the least. An odd phenomenon, to be sure, but it makes for lovely introspection. Thank you again!

I love ALL the prompts this time. They are all so fitting for our dear Legolas, but "display" is the best. Thank you. Lai

Author Reply: Thank you so much! My own thoughts are that Thranduil didn't really care for Galadriel, and while Legolas may or may not share those feelings, he is certainly not going to be upstaged by an Exiled Noldo. :) Thank you again!

Ah, our Legolas, our golden-haired Elf with his quick wit and his unerring aim! Love the realization of the shared humanity in Gimli's grief and the appreciation for the Dwarf's wariness about the Oathbreakers. But the last one touches a chord deep in my heart!

Author Reply: Thank you so much for the review! In the back of my mind, I have this idea that the sorrow of grief for both wizard and heritage laid to rest the sorrow of division for Gimli and Legolas, but it's still a very undeveloped notion. So I'm glad you liked that prompt!

You bring out so many wonderful qualities and perceptions of these folk. it fascinating to watch Legolas, in particular, grow and learn. My particular favorites in this chapter are Boiling, Help, Meaning, Doubt, and Postulate.

Author Reply: I'd actually like to write more on the ideas in "Doubt" because Gimli can't have been the only one a little alarmed that Aragorn did what he did, and I suspect there were several watchful eyes for a while after that.

Number four was too funny. I can see those two watching him watching it--and possibly wagering on whether or not he can do it.

I also really love his comeback to Galadriel, returning test for test, possibly less "gentle" revenge than Frodo had!

But the best one is the last one, for it's just how I feel that his time in the Fellowship must have affected Legolas: friendships and friends he will ever love and one day mourn.

Author Reply: On the subject of number four, a watched elf watching a boiling pot never loses his cool. Please feel free to throw things at the pun. It was completely intended.

Anyway, Legolas was an interesting character to for which to create an ending prompt because he really doesn't accomplish a lot on the journey save for an internal change, which is accomplishment enough given that he's an elf, but still, it's VERY good to hear that you enjoyed the last prompt. Thank you so much!

I loved ALL the prompts. Oh, Legolas, he's such an Elf, isn't he? LOL! "Creative interpretation", indeed! And I suspect he was doing a lot of that all along the way. I think of all the chapters so far, Thundera, this one is my personal favorite. Thanks for sharing.

Author Reply: Thank you so much yet again! Legolas was one of the easier characters to write, which makes me suspicious that I just got lazy while writing him. :) As a result, I'm relieved you enjoyed his prompts. They were some of my favorite, too!
