I've only just realised my eyes were skidding over it every time it cropped up but now I've gone back to look: is it way too late to point out that "Daglorad" should actually be "Dagorlad"?

Author Reply: Holy Hannah! That's embarrassing. I must have "Add"ed the typo to my Spell Check dictionary all those years ago, and been "correcting" it since! Thank you SO MUCH for telling me! Gotta fix that...

Safety and slumber, but no end to the torment. It will be a long while until Aragorn is healed. I just hope is willing to give his body time for healing.

I bow down to you now... I bow down in utter awe and gratefulness. I have read hundreds of Aragorn h/c stories over the last decade, and I have to say that MOST fics would have started this chapter with, "Two weeks later, Aragorn was finally able to leave his bed..." or some-such and SKIP the lovely, incredibly satisfying comfort pay-off entirely.

It just happens all too often. Our hero faces the worst sort of mishaps and I wai patiently for all that good, super-detailed comfort to follow the super-detailed torture or illness or injury and then... it is fast-forwarded through. Such a disappointment when that happens!

But this fic doesn't do that... it ponders and discusses and explains every nuance of how Aragorn is feeling, and how he is treated, and that is something I yearn for. You don't forget a single symptom or ailment... and that is so refreshing. A long recovery would certainly be expected, and I for one am so thoroughly entranced by this chapter that I would gladly read another thirty chapters just like it.

Hooray he made it to safety with Gollum and can now enjoy rest and decent treatment. If anyone deserves to be well treated, it is Aragorn. He has so many hurts for the healers to care for. Thanks again. I had three great chapters to enjoy.

Author Reply: Yes! Safe at last. Aragorn does indeed deserve decent care, and he is at last in a position to rest and enjoy it. I'm glad you liked the chapters.

What?! No bath? ;)

Your stories are diabolically good. I've even gone so far as to "borrow" my sister's tablet so I can shove it in my bag and be one of those uncivilized people who are on their phones/tablets in company just to check for an update.

Author Reply: Hee. I can't give him EVERYTHING in one chapter, can I? I'm so glad you like my writing: thank you for taking the time to let me know. Cheers!

May Estel allowhimself many many days of healing, tender care , baths, food , Dorwinion, good conversations and friends! Hail to the elves and Estel and last but not least to YOU Canafinwe!

Author Reply: Yes, he deserves all of those things, doesn't he? I shall endeavour to deliver. Thank you as always for the lovely feedback!

Whew, Aragorn and your readers all needed these chapters of healing, gentle tending, and much-needed sleep.

‘Whatever my birth I am naught but a soldier,’ said Aragorn. ‘To rest in peace, sheltered from the cold, is all that I ask.’

What a humble man; truly a worthy king-to-be.

Author Reply: Yes, you've waited so patiently for the comfort to come at last! I hope it's all that you could wish for in these next few chapters. I'm very glad to know that line struck you, too. Thank you.

*claps* What a lovely chapter with the elves being so tender and anticipating Aragorn's needs. Very well done!

Author Reply: Thank you so much! It's about time he had some rest; he didn't get enough at either of his waystations.
