| Elrond's house was a refuge for all who fought the dark. I am sure that there must have been many times when he put on the mask of the perfect host, to be strong for those who came to him for counsel. I agree, though, it would not do for him to lose himself and have nothing left but the mask! And now, the lads run off yet again without confronting the real issues they face. Now what? Author Reply: now what, right! Who can help now? The important thing is now to not let Elrond lose himself. Not an easy task, as Glorfindel will find out. Thanks for reviewing, demeter. | What a sad chapter. I feel sorry for Elrohir, torn between brother and father. That's a terrible position to be placed in and Elladan is being selfish and uncaring of anything or anyone but himself. He really needs a reality check. I hope Glorfindel is the one to give it to him... again and in spades. Author Reply: Elladan will get his reality check, Fiondil but from a direction he would never expect. | ***sighs**** Poor Elladan. some times it's hard to see what you do to those you love when you are in so much pain. Excellent Chapter Lai, Very interesting to see all the characters emotions intertwining, even Erestor. hummm, Elrohir is in a very difficult position.
