So sweet a child. I regret Sam is fighting the truth of Frodo's condition.

Hello! Yes, Elanor is really the only one who can really take Frodo out of himself.

Yes, Sam is having a hard time facing reality. He will but it will take time.

Aha-ha-ha! This first chapter is a delight from start to finish!

Sam, making time to garden because it brings comfort to Frodo. Rosie, seeing more clearly, and unable to get her husband to see what she sees.

Little Elanor! I love Frodo's buzzing like a bee.

"And that can only be a good thing, don't you think?" Ha! That's the Pippin I know and love, for sure. And he and Merry have got their priorities in order, it seems.

Gimli and Legolas. "I can't take him anywhere." And Legolas with the "little princess", how precious, and rings true with the Elvish regard for children.

Thank you, this was a lovely respite! I'm looking forward to reading more.

Yeah!! So happy you've enjoyed it. I really had great fun writing it.

I originally wrote it for a friend (Baggins Babe, my friend Val,) she had quite the thing for Elijah Wood at the time! and had been going through a very rough patch in her life at the time FOTR came out. In fact watching the film in the theatre at the time was the only time she would relax and forget about her troubles. So as a consequence I saw FOTR literally 20 times in 4 months. And you know I never once grew weary of seeing it. The mark of a truly great film)

Enjoy!

Stay safe!

I decided to review this story - when you first wrote it it was as a sort of birthday present for me, and I loved it. Poor Frodo is going through such a difficult time as he battles the darkness, but I love the fact that little Elanor can draw him back when no-one else can.

You really do write beautifully, my dear.
