An Alphabet Book for the King's Children  by Larner 10 Review(s)
LindeleaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/23/2016
How clever!

Coming up for air, and sneaking a few moments to read... Still have a little bit to do for the holidays (and for the mundanity, as well) but taking a quiet moment with a cup of tea and a good read.

Author Reply: Hooray! Wanted to do a nice Advent calendar piece this year, and felt this should do. Good to hear from you! Will be coming down on the third, so will see you before I have to be home on the ninth. Maybe the eighth?

I keep getting notices for this and finally forced myself to make the time to read It, as I love your writings. So I'll be wrapping presents till midnight Christmas Eve, it's already well worth it. What a treat.

Enjoyed the A lesson. Going on to B.

Author Reply: Oh, Enjoy, Agape. I hope you may add a few stories when the mood hits you!

Definitely not A is for Apple!

What a neat way to remind Aragorns children of their history.

Huggs,
Lynda

Author Reply: No, indeed not! Heh! And they need to know the histories of both North and South, as they shall rule both lands.

Thanks, and hugs back!

This is going to be a very educational alphabet book! Hey, is the F going to stand for "Frodo" and the S for "Samwise"? Too bad the A couldn't have stood for "Aragorn"! =)

Author Reply: I hope it shall be educational. Now and then I have to have a good sniff about the Encyclopedia of Arda, and one never knows for certain what may come out of such visits.

Thanks so!

What a marvelous gift for the children, and for their children as well. I look forward to learning quite a bit myself!

Author Reply: Now and then I find myself needing to poke around in the further-back history of Middle Earth, and I suspect the same is true of Elessar's children. I hope we shall all learn (or at least recall) more of the history of Middle Earth.

Wonderful. This is going to be a great gift for all of us who love Middle Earth. Thank you.

Author Reply: I do hope so, UTfrog. I like peeking back into the history of the ones we love so. And thank YOU.

Lovely smart idea story.

I do have 1 request for you, Larner.

a) We never got to know the name of the Noldor smith in Rivendell and

b) Can you do another story on him please? I love Noldor elves especially the ones in Rivendell.

Thanks

Author Reply: Thank you so! I did give a name for the smith of Rivendell, but can't find which story I included it within. I believe it was Boronaur or Boreanaur, which means roughly "Faithful Fire" as my rather fractured Sindarin makes it. I may eventually do a story in which he appears again. I rather like him, too, I find.

I have loved your previous Advent calendars and this one looks like it is going to be quite educational as well. Looking forward to more of this very clever idea. The book is a treasure itself let alone its contents.

Btw You missed emboldening AID. A simple but crucial word in Middle Earth both past and present.

Thank you too for all your good wishes. They are reciprocated. Shadow is sulking because I had to use the cold hose pipe on him yesterday after a rather too close encounter with fox mess but sends a loud woof anyway.

Author Reply: I did fix that, and thanks for bringing it to my awareness. Yes, Aid definitely ought to have been bolded.

Thanks so!

Will be getting a new pup in early January. My dogs like getting into the deer scat and pee, so we get baths every once in a while for similar reasons. Hug him for me!

What a lovely idea and great use of the letter A.

Author Reply: Thanks so, Linda! Hugs to the kitties for me.

Oh, but I do love this so!! I can't wait to see what "B" brings!

Author Reply: I hope you've been able to keep up, although at this time of year life can be hectic. Thanks so!
