An Unexpected Adventure [IN HIATUS]  by KathyG 2 Review(s)

Oh, I love how the McCloud children and the rest of the Fellowship are acquainting themselves with Lothlorien! It's good to see Gimli and Legolas becoming closer, too. The archery lessons, and Joey's sling practice are definitely good for them! But Joey definitely needs to work on his aim! That could have gone very badly...

Author Reply: Yeah, no kidding! Fortunately, he's got 4 very skilled hobbits to teach him how.

Author Reply: The scene with Joey's slingshot lessons was one of my favorite ones to write! Thanks! DF

Yes, the grief is far too near for Legolas to translate.

Poor Joey--the accident with the first slung stone must have both frightened and embarrassed him. But at least the three children are now better set to help with protection should they be on the receiving end of another attack.

Author Reply: Yes, they are. And fortunately, Joey has good teachers in the hobbits, so he's been able to improve his aim with the sling.
