| Lovely! I do adore spending time with hobbits. Especially the Travellers. Merry holding his breath while concentrating sounds so familiar! I do have a question about Boromir being addressed as "sire"? I hadn't seen that before. The picnic makes me hungry. I agree, I'm not a huge fan of jerky, though it will do in a pinch. I forgot to say how much I enjoy glimpses of Northern and Ithilien Rangers in these chapters. Best to you and DF. Author Reply: I adore spending time with hobbits, too! | "'Hit it off'? Is it the custom in your world for courting couples to hit one another?" How strange many of our figures of speech would sound to them! I enjoyed this chapter very much.
