| Hmm...so Bilbo planted the idea to accompany Frodo in Legolas's head, did he? Wonder if he ended up doing the same with Gimli, since it was he and not his father who went with Frodo and Sam on the Quest. | "... Trusted companions... Hmmm, I wonder whether Gloín and his son are still at luncheon..." Definitely Bilbo. Very nice! A short story, and yet it has a definite point to it. I am not a fan of stories - or drabbles, as they are often called - in which there is nothing but a brief 'emotional' scene with nothing behind it. This, however, had a point and a plot, and I like how you did both Bilbo and Legolas' voices. They sound like the characters. :) Author Reply: Thank you for that nice compliment. | Indeed important paths and errands have crossed and met here. Elrond indicated that it was obvious that a purpose had brought so many there at that time, and now both Bilbo and Legolas have realized this, too. The Powers be with them.... Author Reply: It usually takes me a long time to come up with a story title, but this one spoke to me right away. I was 'meant' to find it, as Legolas and Bilbo were meant to converse! :) | |

| Yes, Bilbo did his bit and he did it very well. When you think on it a little you recognize that they were all meant to be there at that place in that moment.
