Bound by Duty; Bound by Joy  by Mirkwoodmaiden 1 Review(s)

I love gap fillers, and this one showing how Faramir retrieved his mother's mantle is very nice.

Eowyn looked at him, this sweet, gentle man, she had nothing to give him. Not even herself.

Such a heart-full of grief and hopelessness for this noble lady. Faramir is just the healer -- and destiny -- that she needed.

Hello! I did have some fun writing this chapter. As soon as I created Eirik I had a feeling he was going to run and get the cloak!! :-) I do like writing the gap filler stories. They are fun!

You highlighted the one passage that really jumped of the page for me as well. Eowyn feels Faramir's kindness and love but she just doesn't feel worthy of it at that point. The professor writes the story of Faramir and Eowyn with such patience and pathos. I tried to honour that feeling. "Faramir is just the healer and destiny -- that she needed" Exactly!

Thanks again for reviewing!
