Yes, they learned it from the very best--from Frodo himself! And excellent exercise, I know.

Author Reply: I know, too! I've been going through hand and wrist exercises for a year now, and every little bit (or sponge) helps.

In that hobbit's case, it's the eyes ;) hehehehehe

Author Reply: Pippin's accent... Frodo's eyes... Sam's cooking... Merry's intelligence... What a foursome!

I had to read this one again. It's my favourite of all your ficlets. LOL! This is really cute:

Frodo beamed at the two of them. “You’re my favorite cousins, again.” He began to slowly squeeze the sponge over the basin.

Sam pulled Pippin aside. “Mr. Pippin,” he whispered, “I thought Strider told us that Mr. Frodo only had to squeeze that thing five times.”

“Did he?” Pippin asked innocently. “Well even if he did, look how smug Frodo looks! He needs to think he’s gotten the best of us once in a while, you
know.”

“That’s pretty sneaky,” Sam said admiringly. “Who taught you how to do that?”

“Merry and I learned from the best, Sam,” Pippin murmured, gazing fondly at Frodo. “The very best.”

Awww! Off to read the next one!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: You sweetie. Thank you. I'm rather fond of this one, myself! Those cousins just bring out the fluff in me.

Haha! I don't know whose side to take! Of course Merry and Pip are doing the right thing in getting their cousin to exercise his hand, but then half the time I can't tell when Frodo is teasing or when he isn't. And I have to sympathise with dear, protective Sam, because I'd be the same way...only I'd add, "Mr. Pippin, Mordor? That is not funny!" :-) I love every one of these! Just what I needed after a very tiresome day! God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Thank you for all the sweet reviews, QG! I had a wonderful time writing these, and I'm so happy they brightened your day.

:D

I overlooked this one before. It is really funny!! That is very much how I think Frodo would act after the Quest. Still full of teasing mischeif with his cousins....and using the "poor, frail Ringbearer" thing to get out of things he didn't want to do!! Very funny and well written!! I love all of your stories. God Bless, Frodo Baggins

That was cute! My favorite was "Kitchen Duty."

Author Reply: Thanks, Lera! These were such fun to write!

I was doing so well through all these ficlets--not a single tear, just damp eyes. But then you had to write that very last line. *sigh* Hobbit love gets me every time.

*wipes tear*

Author Reply: It gets me every time, too! We're all hopelessly lost, precioussss.... lossst...

Glad you enjoyed these!

You are a very sneaky author, Shirebound. You lured me in to your trap with that awesome first chapter of "Quarantined" and the next thing I knew, I was going back and reading all of your stories! Even the ones that have solely to do with Hobbits (shudders). I'm very afraid that you have turned me into (gasps) a Hobbit-lover!
I have something in mind for you...

Author Reply: (hangs head in shame while long hair hides secret grin)

I suppose I should apologize, but... ooops! No time! (sneaks off to write more about hobbits...)
