Oh, Thundera, that was marvelous! I like the way that both - supposedly teacher and student - learned that they could not control all ends. Thank you for a lovely holiday gift for your fans! - Barbara

Can I reiterate once again how much I love you, Thundera? You are, I think, an unsupassed genius in portraying Legolas. I love how you describe him as really, really elvish. That bit was very powerful. Yay!

This was beautiful. I liked the sense of Legolas as Elven, and I liked your view of what sea longing is. I was also struck by the fact that Imrahil has some sea longing. I hadn't thought about that possibility before. And I thought that the first person POV worked quite well. It's one of the things that allows you to show Legolas as so foreign.

This is absolutely beautiful, Thundera Tiger. I think you have wisdom beyond your own years as well. Imrahil is very well done - very wise and kind. And Legolas is seeking - and the sea longing is well done. For him to seek to ride the waves rather than master them is a huge step in allowing him to spend the remainder of the years he wishes to spend in Middle-earth possible. Thank you for this beautiful tale.

Oh, Thundera, what a beautiful vignette. I love Imrahil's insight into Legolas' inner being -- as an Elf, he is different from mortals on a level far deeper than physical appearance or skill. And the pain, the anguish that he feels is subtly wrought and perfectly conveyed. Lovely. Thank you so much.

I often wondered how Legolas gained the skills and knowledge to build his grey ship. Now I know! Thanks for this story. Jay
