Yes, haircuts would become very problematical when you can't see the hair or the head! Heh! At least for Frodo himself he can feel where he is in space, so it wouldn't be that much different than being blind; but for everyone else they must use the bandages and clothing and gloves as reference!

I can certainly appreciate just why the visit was heartening to poor Frodo! And they did get a good meal out of it, at least.

And Merry thinks he's in shock now? At least he's being prepared as gently as Frodo can for the full truth! Heh!

Now, that WOULD be a shock! Love Frodo's use of humor to try to defuse the stress of the situation.

Becoming invisible so slowly is becoming dangerous now! And trust Pippin to notice he's now wearing boots! Poor Frodo!

Oh, to find themselves seeing through Frodo in this particular way! Heh! Poor Hobbits!

Merry and Pippin have yet to figure out what's happening! I think it was reading this that led me to write "Filled with Light as with Water," actually!

Oh, it's THAT story! Hooray! Haven't read it for ages! Poor Frodo--the problems when one is dealing with a transformation that is ongoing! Heh!

Ah--one I apparently missed along the way. Something new to read! Hurray!

A great idea, and wonderfully executed! I especially like how the hobbits are still able to make jokes, even though Frodo's condition must really distress them. And of course it's also good that it ends well! Nienor Author Reply: Ah, yes, it must end well, or it's probably not one of mine. *g* And light talk on heavy subjects, it's rather hard to pull off, but JRRT set the standard, and we must do what we can to keep it up.
