Sigh. It's finally over. :( Now you have to write something else to keep us fans from going on strike or something! ;) Anyway, it was a very good story, and I enjoyed it very much. Thank you for writing it. Oh, and I know that I probably had nothing to do with this, but how did you come to the decision for Pippin to name his calf Arwen? I know that there was one review that I made (not for you) that mentioned that my cat's name is Arwen, but I don't think you got it from that. I just have to say that I loved that! I almost died laughing, especially thinking about Aragorn's reaction, and hoping he never finds out about my cat! ;)

Author Reply: So very glad that you enjoyed this one and I thank you for reviewing and reading. The calf's name came about because I think that calves and deer have such beautiful soft-looking eyes and I think that Arwen does also. She is such a gentle being that I thought Pippin might want to name the calf after her. I had no idea about your cat but I think that is a wonderful name for a cat. I laughed when I read your review. I have often wished that I had named one of my cats after a LOTR character. Instead, my car is known as "Gandalf". LOL I won't tell Aragorn about your cat, if you don't tell him about Pippin's calf. Oh, and don't tell Gandlaf on me.

AWWW! I needed a hanky during this chapter!

Author Reply: Didn't mean to make you cry. I am glad you are reading, though. Thank you so much for reviewing this one.

I've been very bad, not reviewing the last I don't know how many chapters, but I did want to let you know that I really enjoyed this story!!!

Author Reply: Thank you. I know how hard it is to review every single chapter of a very long story. I am just glad that you enjoyed it and took the time to say so. Thanks for reading!

Wonderful! I laughed throughout all of Merry`s letter. He`s merry again, he`s full of joy again and his descriptions of Farmer Took were hilarious, and and a very good description of a think pippin would do. Excellent!

Author Reply: So glad that you enjoyed it! I thought that this story might have gone on a bit too long. I felt that the letter wrapped it up at a happy point. I never like to get too close to Frodo's leaving the Shire. I can write a bit after he is gone or write about before he leaves, but I can't seem to do the part where Frodo is completely lost and is leaving. I like happy hobbits. I think that is why I mostly write Merry and Pippin. Less serious. More humor.

*great big happy sigh* Oh, that was poetry! I love, love, love the telling letter to Frodo and seeing all the beloved characters healing and getting on with their lives. And Merry's long letter of summation was a wonderful way to read it. And 'Meriadoc Brandybuck, Squire of Crickhollow' - how perfect! Thank you so much for this delightful read. I enjoyed every single word of it!

Author Reply: I think with all of his interest in herbs and pipeweed and such that Merry would have made a fantastic country squire. So glad that you enjoyed his letter to Frodo. I thought that this was getting a bit long and so I decided that this was the way to end it on a happy note. I appreciate your kind words and your reviews. Thank you for reading!

Is it really over? I would have liked this story to go on and on...
I particularly liked your Merry. He was wonderful, absolutely my imagination.
Thank you for this story and continue your great work!

Happy Holidays from Germany to you and your family!

Author Reply: Thank you! So glad that you like Merry in this. I tend to think of him as the one who looks out for everyone else. Thank you for reading and a very Happy Holiday to you and your family also!

The letter was a great idea. I loved reading it. It's good to hear Merry being light-hearted after so much drama. And I loved Farmer Took and Arwen the Calf, lol. I can just picture Aragorn's face if ever he were to find out about that. A wonderful ending to a great story. Thanks for the read. :)

Author Reply: Glad you liked the letter ending. The funny thing is, I always had in mind to do that at the end of this one so I have no idea why I was so upset about the tense before. LOL Thanks to you, I got through it all and have finished this one. Maybe in the next one, I will bring back Arwen the calf. The calf Arwen should be much easier to write than the real Arwen. LOL Thank you for the reviews!

Excellent use of the puzzle box as an analogy for Pippin finding himself. It was very lovingly and painstakingly made. The letter was beautiful. And now we've come full circle, back to where the story started. Can't wait to see how you finished it up. I did notice a couple of person-tense typos, some first-person that must have escaped the revision, lol, where Merry swallows his eggs and starts reading Gimli's letter.

Author Reply: Glad you liked this and I do appreciate the help that you gave me during this one. I just corrected two of the tense-escapees in this chapter after reading your review. I though I had gotten them all but those two must have been hiding. Thanks again!

This story was such a delight to read! I’m sorry to see it end. :-( You are such an awesome storyteller – and brilliant writer (and letter writer!). I thank you for sharing your world of hobbits, they’re an absolute joy to watch.

I love your depiction of Merry being a clever inventor–so cool! Hehehe...the lap desk with an ink well! And “Farmer Took” was too much! I laughed at that – and his gardening. Let the healing begin.

Please say you’ll be writing another story soon! I’ll be here to read it. :-)

Author Reply: So glad that you liked it. I did suspect that all of those years on his father's farm might have given Pippin some urge to farm a bit. Now, seemed like a good time for him to farm to me. LOL I always think of Merry as the clever one with the urge to improve upon things. I will have to watch or I will turn him into a hobbit-Ben Franklin of a sort. LOL I think except for maybe a short one or two that I will rest for a while until after the holidays. I am busy reading "Roses" just now. I did post a slightly naughty Bilbo story to the "Baggin!" stories the other day, but for now, I am resting. Thank you for reading and for your firendship! Happy Holidays!

Sigh. That was beautiful! I do love your puzzle boxes–I need to find Gimli and hire him to make me one. You do paint a warm and lovely picture of the Brandybucks at Brandy Hall–and these two wonderful hobbits at Crickhollow. A homey atmosphere, warm fire, cute hobbits....warms my toes just thinking about it. ;-)

Author Reply: Thank you! I think I have come to the end of my puzzle box obsession with this story. I hope so anyway. The boxes have made their way into several of my stories and I think that is enough. Glad you enjoyed this latest one. I figured that Gimli would go all out on this one. Thanks for reviewing and I hope you enjoy the last chapter of this one.
