Ah, I must have missed this on LJ, but was glad to see it here. All from your lovely healer's POV! I have always liked her. She may be my favorite of your OCs. I look forward to more of this one. Author Reply: But I think you left me a note on LJ as well as here, so you must have found it. Woodruff may be a favourite? What a lovely compliment! (I've always liked her too.)

I noted by the number of replies you gave me that my comment either stung or got you thinking... I just wanted to say here that I DO enjoy your stories a great deal and wanted to let you know that this one is very good. I haven't read 'End of His Rope' yet (there are only so many hours in the day... ;)) but I belive it will be next. Thanks for posting this one here. Author Reply: There are only so many hours in the day? Really? Darn.

A companion piece? Excitement! I loved "At the End of His Rope." I've read many chapters of it a ridiculous number of times. Will this story have that many chapters (that would definitely be a good thing)? Author Reply: Probably not 96 chapters... Actually, the outline is so rough I can't tell you how many chapters there will be! I can tell you, however, that you'll know when the story is over, or just about--as the outline ends right around the "Celebration" chapter in "Rope". (Gee I hope I got that title right! Put it in from memory.)

Oh! That was so nicely done! I guess Woodruff would know him better than most! She has certainly seen him in many scrapes and difficulties. It was a bittersweet little conversation between them. I'm just glad I already know that Pippin survives all right! Author Reply: Thanks! This story threatens to be fraught with angst. Am going to have to be creative to come up with non-angsty episodes... (and I'm glad I wrote "Rope" first, so I know how things come out)
