What, only kiss and talk! I would want at least a cuddle too! *g* I like the way Lori is changing and I bet Eomer does too!

Author Reply: I am sure she will get a cuddle. And who wouldn't want one? LBJ

Goodness, she has definitely grown claws! Her brothers had better watch out!

Author Reply: Hi, She is just about to find her feet. By the way, in the little fic I am writing now, Hobbits have a speaking part! Be a while though as I am off on holiday. LBJ

Here we have the very best way to get better acquainted with the king of the horse people. Especially since she proves to be better at riding than he thought she might be! And they are almost alone - as alone as you can be with guards in attendance.

Imrahil should give up on the Gondorian propriety front. She's in Rohan, she's marrying Eomer - he should just shrug it off and let his future son-in-law manage Lothiriel. He seems quite good at it!

Author Reply: She is a very determined young lady under all that fluff. She practiced a lot so that she would not disgrace herself. LBJ

*splork!*

Imrahil is going to have to loosen up. He started this, he betrothed her to someone without asking her first, and it was only lucky that it was someone as capable and responsible and amiable as Eomer--she is gently getting a bit of her own back, and he darn well deserves it. Of course he loves her, but he has not shown her any respect, and now he is reaping the consequence. She is asserting her independence as a future Queen and wife, and he can like it or lump it.

Yet he's not really that bad, just a bit thoughtless--so I hope he *does* learn to loosen up, so that he and his daughter can part on fond terms.

I really love the way Eomer is being so thoughtful and forthright with her. A lesser man would have taken credit for Eowyn getting her the riding outfit. And letting her know what she can expect as a horsewoman in Rohan, he's being very open and practical with her.

Author Reply: He will have to loosen up. He must realise he wont have any influence soon. LBJ

I do love her when she is firm with her father! Great description of the riding.

Author Reply: She needs to be firm and it must be a great relief to ride in Rohan with Eomer. LBJ

I wonder if Imrahil is rather wishing he hadn't started this... Or if he's thinking gratefully that Lothiriel will be Eomer's problem from now on... Or if he secretly finds it all hugely entertaining.

I like it when Lothiriel shows flashes of knowledge and good sense - such as over the sheep - before reverting to fretting over how much wine she is allowed or whether her brothers will try to foil meetings between her and Eomer. She might realise that all she really needs is to get up bright and early, while the Princes of Dol Amroth are sleeping off their ale.

Not long until the wedding now!

Author Reply: She is sensible really, but she is also quite young. A few chapters to go before the wedding. I got quite involved with her character. LBJ

How nice that Lothiriel is settling in so nicely to her new home. Eomer is a thoughtful and practical bridegroom--and I love his wry sense of humor with her.

I look forward to seeing her ride, and her father's reaction!

Author Reply: She will definatley enjoy the riding and out her father in his place.LBJ

I am looking forward to her meeting her new horse too! I do like the way that you are portraying the people of Rohan.

Author Reply: The people of Rohan always struck me as a straightforward bunch. LBJ

Braids and wedding gowns. What a rebel!

Still - at least Imrahil can look round Rohan and think that his daughter is simply showing respect for her new culture and indicating that she is not going to be a rigidly Gondorian queen beside their king. And, anyway, surely they're at the point now when, if Eomer's happy with it, no problem!

Author Reply: I think it's wonderful how one can be such a rebel in such small ways. LBJ

This is really fun. I am enjoying Lothiriel's quiet, but determined, defiance of all the stuffy rules she has always hated, and the way she is gradually escalating it. I also like the way Eomer is staunchly backing her up, not quarreling with her father, but simply and firmly taking her side.

Perhaps, away from the dreaded aunts Imrahil will finally be able to loosen up again. But I have a feeling there may be a clash with the brothers somewhere along the line...

Author Reply: I am glad you find it fun. It pleased me to write about such a girlie girl for a change. LBJ
