Hope Bragelion hasn't been turned into an Orc. Love when Thranduil is proving to be a good king.

Another special moment spoiled by sad news. Wonderful plot.

Author Reply: Thanks! :D

Legolas summarized it perfectly: it is difficult to believe that Thranduil survived such hardship.

What did Thranduil do? Sort of hypnosis to prevent pain?

Author Reply: Something like that. I'm not sure about the details of the intimate lives of Elves, but it seemed like he should be in a position to do it if he wanted to.

Love the way Elves treat Thranduil. They respect him but can address him informally.

What significant farewell?! Thranduil can take of a wounded soldier and doesn't mind helping despite his status. Love him acting as a king.

Author Reply: I think I was referencing a passage in Unfinished Tales when Isildur says goodbye to his son, puts on the Ring and disappears. :)

'Am I so changed...?' another sentence which made me cry. It shows how vulnerable he is and how much war managed to hurt him. The wedding is a perfect way to get lost joy back.

Thranduil at his father's grave made me cry. The last words said in Lindon by Oropher couldn't be a better encouragement for him. Is it possible that they could be sent to him through Mandos' Halls?

So I may have screamed aloud when I saw these new chapters. And they are PERFECT.

Author Reply: Thanks! Sorry to take so long; was really stuck for a while. It's good to be running again. :)

'He felt the breathing of the forest, its griefs and wounds, the dark places where unnatural creatures hid themselves, and, as acutely as ever...' this sentence made me hold my breath. You are an accomplished wordsmith and I was over the moon to see notification about another chapter. Love loyalty of Thranduil's people, and his bond with woods is perfectly written. Wonder if spirits of twisted beasts who used to be Elves can reach Mandos' Halls or are bound to Sauron even after death? Thank you so much for update!!!!I am looking forward to another chapter.

Author Reply: Thanks! Honestly, your enthusiasm is what got this chapter over the giant case of writer's block in the middle. :)
