My Sword Weeps - Book Two - 'My Sword' Series  by Agape4Gondor 106 Review(s)

Will they fetch in the prisoner they took outside the cave now? At least they have the reassurance that Faramir is alive and in the best of hands, and that the same is now true of Eomund as well. And Indis herself is recovering. Yet it is a horrendous tale that Thorongil must hear.

Author Reply: I truly believe Thorongil was fond of Denethor... And his family. It is a horrendous tale... and the poor men of Gondor too to have to listen to the death of their Steward, his eldest, and so many of their companions.

This is tense! We've one oddly downed and another who we now know will be fine, and only two more chapters!! Awk! I'm glad Borondir and Ragnhild are in love :-)

Author Reply: So much death and pain - it felt really good when the Muse put these two together....

Proper resolution is now beginning. Excellent. And Erkenbrand and Elrohir managed to overwhelm Elladan's guards without causing more hurt and mayhem along the way. Definitely to the good, once they realize they are facing allies and not enemies.

Author Reply: I was hard-pressed not to have them kill each other - so deep was their anxiety - but reason and orders prevailed... thankfully, there was no smell of Orcs on these men else Elrohir would have murdered them all!

I take it Elladan is the one the Gondorians managed to overpower outside the cave? Now, as long as they don't act precipitously inside it.

And Ragnild still lives! Hope is there, then.

Author Reply: Sure seems like Elladan has gotten himself into some trouble, Larner. And Aragorn is really left defenseless - sprawled out on the floor holding a very sick child and no help anywhere in sight!

Relief and a cliff hanger all in one chapter! Well written, Agape :-) I loved the response to the lullaby - if it were a trap, wouldn't a bawdy tavern song have been better! LOL

Author Reply: Oh Pearl - I was glad I got that idea too! A tavern song might have drawn them in easily, if they were not quite good men. But the lullaby - I thought it was a nice touch and was very glad the muse offered it!

It looks like Faramir is starting to respond to Aragorn - hope is kindled. Wakey-wakey, little Steward (please, soon!).

I really wonder if Aragorn will have to do the same thing in this AU in 3019; at least if he does, he'll have had good practice.

Author Reply: I have a feeling things will force Faramir to be in Henneth Annun in 3019 - a certain Halfling will need help - or perhaps Prince Imrahil himself will be there?

Nice to see that Theodred's alive! Maybe in this AU, he'll survive the Ring War; which would be interesting.

And Durahil's in love with Indis - any chance of her reciprocating in a few years?

Author Reply: You should see where my head is for the sequel, Raksha. I'm tossing coins trying to figure out a few things - I'd love to have someplace to write them all done and do a poll? Oh - maybe HASA. You know, who will take Boromir's place on the Quest, does Faramir still have the dream, does Faramir or does he not use the Palantir? A truckload of questions.

As for Indis - that blasted 'custom' of Gondor is a killer - wish she could...

Whoops; everyone's in jeopardy again - but it looks like Aragorn is recognized as Gondor's hero again.

Suspenseful chapter!

Author Reply: Thanks, Raksha. I'm not sure that Aragorn is very happy that he is recognized. Too much pressure will be put upon him to return to Minas Tirith - and I really don't think he is quite ready for that!

oops! Back to things not going well. Much like RL - up and down, ebb and flow.

And now, onward!

Author Reply: You know very well about ups and downs and ebbs and flows oh mistress of the Pip tales!!!!

Poor dear Aragorn! I hope Elladan is on his side in his choice of love.

And Theodred up and riding and speaking! 'Tis good!

Your writing is beautiful, Agape. Lovely turns of phrases, clear word pictures and good voices for your characters :-)by the way

Author Reply: Thank you ever so much, Pearl, for the compliment - I really needed it right about now - another tale of mine took a nasty hit with the character's voices - so you're compliment was timely and MOST appreciated!

I thought it might be possible that Arwen and Aragorn (and especially Elrond) would keep the little love thing to themselves....

As for Theodred - I do so love that lad!

Thanks for commenting, dear heart, again - most appreciated!!!!
