I love Errol.

All of his stories leave me with damp eyes and a sappy smile on my face.

Thank you for sharing his lovely world with us.

Author Reply: Awww, that you so much! Errol has turned into the closet thing I have to a recurring OC. I have no idea how it happened but that Rabbit has made his way into far more of my stories than I ever expected him to. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Errol, I am so glad that you have decided to share snippits of your story here. I have enjoyed hearing about your adventures over time and would love to hear more. You have given me ideas about Ted who has accommpanied me for all but the first year of my life. He is currently sitting on my table watching me type but perhaps it will soon be time for him to go on to new adventures too. Well maybe... err perhaps not just yet!

Author Reply: Errol wanted me to tell you this.

"Thank you. I enjoyed writing down some of my adventures and I hope to reveal more of them in the coming year. I am very interested in making a proper record of my life just as Bilbo Baggins did. Though I don't keep a journal, I do have much to tell. My best to Ted. I am certain that he is a noble companion. Keep him close." Regards, Errol

Thank you for reading and hi to Ted from me also. GW

Oh! That was very cute! A very unique perspective, from a stuffed rabbit that has made a couple of appearances already! It reminds me of a song by Kenny Loggins Return to Pooh Corner, I think was the title. I liked Errols thoughts on Estella, how she frightened him. Also knowing and understanding Merry. There are many stories that could be about Errol's adventures, it sounds like he had quite the time with Lilac. Being an Elvish rabbit all this time! I guess that is a good thing because he seems to have survived quite a lot! Is his Elvish name in another story? Anyway, very sweet and fun to read, thank you!

Author Reply: I am so very glad you've returned to SOA. I did miss hearing from you and reading your stories. I hadn't thought of that Kenny Loggins song but you are right, it does fit with this story. Errol's Elvish name has yet to be revealed but I am planning to write more about his time with Arwen and so eventually his name will come out.

Thank you for reviewing!

An Errol story!! What a wonderful way to start the New Year. :o)

Not sure how on earth I missed reading this one over at Marigold's, but I see that I did. Such a great accounting of Errol's travels and adventures during the last half of Pippin's life. The fact he was also Arwen's bunny many moons ago was quite the surprise however. I do hope we get to find out how Errol became a Shire bunny. I mean...You just can't leave us, your faithful readers, hanging like that now. You do know that, right? ;oD

The end is so bittersweet but also perfect at the same time. Safe in the arms of another Pippin in the Tooklands. What better place for Errol.

Looking forward to the additions to this series and Happy New Year!!

Author Reply: I am glad that you enjoyed this! (So is Errol.)

I do plan to write more about Errol's history and his time with Arwen and even how he managed to make his way to the Shire. It's all coming as soon as time allows.

Thank you for the lovely review and for reading along on Errol's adventures.

Oh, GW, what a wonderful biography!

As I read this and remembered other Errol stories, I wondered whether he might be a Pooka like Harvey. Now as we find that he's an Elvish stuffed Rabbit, perhaps I'm more right than I thought.

Lovely, warm, funny, and moving -- a wonderful, wonderful story!

Blessings,
Mum

Author Reply: 'And how are you Mr. Wilson?' LOL

"Harvey" is one of my favorite movies of all time. I can watch it any time. As Elwood's sisters says, "Sometimes I see that big Rabbit too!"

You are very nearly right about Errol it would seem for Pooka's must be Elvish.

So glad that you enjoyed this one and I thank you for reading!

Just wonderful!
There is some magic about Errol the Stuffed Rabbit, I've always liked him and now I like him even more!

I think it was indeed fitting that Pippin took Errol with him on his last trip to Minas Tirith. And I was surprised to see that he once belonged to Arwen, centuries ago. Magic, indeed!

Last but not least, I loved it that Faramir's little Peregrin is the spitting image of his grandfather. Of course, he is the one to be the new caretaker of Errol (or the other way around, who knows!)

When I was little, I had a wee stuffed rabbit myself. It was made of cloth and it was red. My brother had a similar one (also red). I wonder if that rabbit is still around somewhere...

Author Reply: The more I write about him, the more involved Errol's story becomes. He seems to be working his way into everything lately.
I am glad that you enjoyed Faramir's little Peregrin. I do think that he and Errol are meant for grand adventures all their own.

I hope you locate the wee stuffed rabbit that you had as a child. It is always nice to have connections to your childhood. And you can't have too many stuffed Rabbits, can you?

Thank you for reveiwing!

Several mysteries solved--the first mistress of Errol, a good part of his origin. But we still don't know who created him, his original first name, or how he came into the hands of Pippin's aunt.

But we do see the children he chooses to love next, including the second Peregrin Took, who in his time will be the second of that name as Thain of the Shire. And the stories of that small child are waiting to be told now.

A wonderful birthday present to receive on the anniversary of the Master's own birth. Thank you, and I think he would approve.

Author Reply: Thank you too. I hope you are right that the Master would approve. That is such a lovely thing for you to say.
In any case it does seem that Errol is meant to belong to the Thain and his family for now. I am certain that more about Errol's past will surface at some point during the year and I thank you for reviewing.

Okay, my Lady....

Author Reply: So very courtly! I like it.

I love Errol. He is just a top rabbit - and, somehow, I'm just not at all surprised he turned out to be the kind of rabbit who might have belonged to Arwen about 3000 years before. But that leaves a looooooooooooot of time in between for the adventures of Errol.

I hope that one day, a long time from now, Errol ends up sailing west with one of Arwen's brothers to spend a future with her nephews and nieces.

Author Reply: I hadn't thught of Errol sailing. That's an interesting idea. I might have to give that some thought. I am so pleased that you enjoyed this and thank you for the lovely review.
