Three Things About Pippin  by Grey Wonderer 18 Review(s)

Bravo! Bravo!! Bravisimo!!!

I love how Frodo handled that. The Terrible Tooks Sisters can complain about their wee brother all they want - but anyone else doing it faces their wrath!!

MEWD GW :-)

Author Reply: No one can say anything bad about your family. LOL You can complain about them but they are yours and you have to protect them from others. Clever Frodo knew exactly what would work. He may not have counted on the kick in the shin or the tea on the trousers, but he was pretty certain that the sisters would realize how fond they really are of Pippin. Glad you liked it and thank you so much for reviewing!

GW, it amazes me how you can write a story like this so spontaneously! I saw the beginnings of your story over at PippinHealers a couple days ago, and now it's finished already! Not only finished, but in such a fine form, too! I would have MAYBE a rough draft by now. You are a very talented writer.

And this story was so adorable...I love young Pippin stories! Even when he's being a brat, he's just so irresistable! Thank you for another lovely story.

Author Reply: It is funny but if I have an idea then it just comes out all at once, line by line. If I have to think about it and plan it then I cannot write it! This was done in two nights. I could have finished the first night but I got too sleepy. LOL I am always amazed by people who do the research and plan out the chapters. I lose interest in the story if I have to do that much for each part of it.

Thank you for your lovely words. They are much appreciated!

This was GREAT, Grey Wonderer, from beginning to end!

It seems that Frodo arrived for his impromptu visit just in time to set the Took sisters straight. And your little Pippin is just so utterly adorable no matter what he does.

Pippin shifted again and then looked up at Frodo and whispered rather loudly. “Do you need to go to the privy, Frodo?”

“Pippin!” Eglantine frowned. “If you need to go then you are perfectly able to go without Frodo’s help. You’re a big lad now.”

“I don’t have to go,” Pippin said. “But I think Frodo’s already too late.”

“What?” Frodo looked confused.

Pippin leaned over and whispered in that loud voice again, “You’ve wet your trousers and I think I sat in it. I won’t tell but someone will notice the back of me if I get up and then one of us will be in trouble. We can say it was me.”

This scene is just priceless and I laughed so hard!

And the return (well mention really) of Errol! :D

Author Reply: Thank you! That scene was one of those last minute things that just came to me as I was writing. I started to end this with the sisters realizing that they had been tricked into naming the things that they liked about Pippin. I couldnt resist letting Pippin greet Frodo though and the next thing I knew this scene popped into my head. Glad you enjoyed it. I did figure Errol might get invited to tea. He has very nice party manners for a stuffed Rabbit!

Reminds me of my sister - I could say the most awful things about her without blinking an eye but heaven help anyone else who spoke of her in terms a tenth as bad! Frodo was wonderful to provoke the sister's defense of their brother, and even with all the headaches Pippin was adorable in this story.

Author Reply: No one else can talk about your family and get away with it. I know thats true for most of us! (grin) Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!

“He did indeed,” Pearl smiled. “He tricked us into realizing that we might not always be pleased with the things that Pippin does, but that we do love him.”

“We do?” Pervinca looked surprised by this news.

LOL! Frodo has some nerve attempting that trick, but it worked. The sisters might be able to insult Pippin, but don't anyone else try! And contrite!Pippin is so very adorable. And it was very polite of him to offer to let Frodo help him clean the room!

Author Reply: I am glad you enjoyed this one. Pervinca might not have been completely certain that she loved Pip but when it came right down to it, she did let Frodo have it in the shin for his troubles. Poor Frodo! No good deed goes unpunished, does it?

I guess someone must have found a copy of Tom Sawyer in the Shire. hehehe Pippin made a good effort to get Frodo to do his work, didnt he? And it was polite. LOL Thanks for reviewing!

Heehee, how adorable! I love how Frodo manages to trick the Took sisters. Of course Pippin is irresistable...how could anyone not think of three good things about him? :D

Author Reply: Frodo was very tricksy in this one. LOL He had to suffer a bit of pain for his efforts but with angry sisters sometimes it goes that way. I do think Pippin is irresistable though. You gotta love that little hobbit!

Every last little bit of this is wonderful, GW! How could anyone resist Pippin, that loveable, adorable, irresistable rascal?

Author Reply: Thank you! I do think he would have been very hard to resist for long. Frodo just had to remind them a bit. LOL
