| I have been reading this and decided to review at the end. It's interesting that you made Namo the main character. Fans don't usually write about him, but your version of him is endearing. This has clearly shown how well your knowledge of Tolkien is. I thought I knew a lot, now I have to rethink that after reading all the names and saying they came from Tolkien's earlier writings. I do have the first five in HOME but didn't really enjoy them so I quit with them. The only one I ever did enjoy in it was the tale of the Fall of Gondolin. You have also made Namo a strong personality but one who still has faults. In many ways I can compare the Valar, in your story, to the gods and goddesses of Greek Mythology. Don't take that as an insult. It's a compliment. What I mean by comparing them to the Greek gods is because your characters show such vivid emotions and are not perfect. Fabulous writing so far! Is this still a WIP because why would you put a character's list in the middle of a story? Are, Ilinsor and Ilsinor the same being? If not, you have an error. Author Reply: Hi Alquawende. Thanks for your review. I appreciate your thoughts about Námo and the Valar. This is not the first story where either Námo or the other Valar make an appearance that I've written, although it's the first Valar-centric story I've written. And Námo is by far the most interesting of all the Valar for me and many of my stories featuring the Valar usually have Námo as the main or one of the main characters, such as in "Elf Interrupted" and some of my short stories. If you look at the blurb for this story you will see that it's "in progress". I put in the character list because several readers requested it for this story and for my other two WIPs, "Elf Interrupted" and Stirrings of Shadow". The "Elf Interrupted" character list is still being put together since there are 129 chapters and counting and LOTS of characters to list. *grin* And if necessary, I will add to the list if any new characters other than those listed appear later in the story. I looked at "Ilinsor" on the list and it's spelled correctly and I went through the only chapter "Rescue Run" where he so far appears and the name is also spelled "Ilinsor". If you can tell be where you saw "Ilsinor" I would appreciate it so I can make the correction. The name should be "Ilinsor" throughout. I'm glad you are enjoying the story so far and hope you will continue to read and enjoy. The story is not over by a long shot. We still have the creation of Arda to get to, after all.
