My Sword Trembles - Book Three - 'My Sword' Series  by Agape4Gondor 150 Review(s)

At least they're thinking to involve Gandalf and not Saruman. An ally to Rohan? In name only, they'll find out all too soon, I fear.

Her plans and appointments so far are good ones, I think. Now, to find out what happens next and their reactions to this last appointment.

Author Reply: Grima does not come into the picture in Rohan until sometime around 3014. So he is not yet totally in the sway of Saruman... but the wizard, I'm sure, visits Edoras now and again, as the neighborly thing to do. *shivers*

She seems pretty smart - but her time as Ecthelion's advisor is definitely helping her now. Much as she says she's not ready, she is!

Thanks ever so much for your review and for continuing to read this.

Why do I get the feeling that I'll need to keep the tissues handy as I read this story, meldenya? I wanted to hug both Faramir and Théodred so much. I hope that the two boys each have someone who will take the time to comfort them as they work through their grief. I know they have to put on public faces and carry on but still, there's so much sorrow and terror to deal with. I just hope that Faramir doesn't bottle everything up. That's what caused problems for Denethor in canon, I think and I'd hate to see Faramir end up breaking down as Denehtor did in the books.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Hugs,

Edlyn

Author Reply: I think that tissues will only be needed for a couple more chapters... with what Faramir has been through, I cannot see him 'rebounding' quickly... Faramir will forget, now and again, and smile once in awhile... but healing of such horror, along with the tortures that he lived through, will still be difficult...

However, with Gondor's sad history, I cannot say to hide the tissues all together.

Again - bless you for your continued reviews and support!

You have me in tears, you know. This was such an emotional chapter. I was holding it together even after Hurin of the Keys' reference to Boromir the Beloved but lost it completely during Faramir's speech.

Ah, Theoden is kneeling to Indis, isn't he? Really, if it weren't for her so much would have been for the worse in Gondor and it wouldn't take long for the Mark to suffer the same.

She is a woman of morals, fortitude and strength and she obviously loves Faramir dearly. I can't think of any other person who would be more appropriate as Faramir's regent.

I suppose I wouldn't be allowed to give Faramir a hug, now that he is Steward, would I? It just seems that he is in need of one really badly when this chapter ends.

Wonderful job, meldenya!

Hugs,

Edlyn

Author Reply: So very sorry for the late reply! Denethor has been absolutely vicious over at 10,000 Years! You know how he can get!

I'm so glad you are enjoying this. I give Theoden big marks for his humility. Isn't that the mark of a great man!?!

And yes - please hug Faramir - he needs a few after what my Muse has put him through!

Blessings for your kind review and continued support!

I have been looking forward to readingthe next part of your "My Sword..." series and here it is. Oh, my what a decision to put on a child of so tender years! I realise that in this society children are forced to mature much more quickly than in ours but still... I know Faramir will make the right decision, I just know it!

I hope you are doing well and am going right ahead and reading chapter 2!

Hugs,

Edlyn

With Minas Tirith violated as it has been, even the Citadel itself--ESPECIALLY the Citadel itself--they will all tend to feel wary from this day forward.

Yes, a proper gift for a horselord (although not many horses bear "tales," most being content with swishing their tails instead, heh!)

Lovely moments here.

Author Reply: Oh bless you, Larner, for catching that blasted tale! LOL - I have 2 words that 'do me in' - tale/tail and instant/instance.

As for the Citadel... I found it bizarre to think of it when I first started writing this chapter... for it seemed to have a peaceful quality about it - until I remembered, as did Indis, that a heinous act was perpetrated upon its hallowed ground...

Thanks ever so much for reviewing!

I'm delighted to see Faramir acclaimed as Steward; and wisely give Indis the regency. One small quibble - I didn't understand why Theoden, king of the Mark, would kneel to Indis and Faramir; he is the Steward's sworn ally and not vassal.

I'm looking forward to seeing where you take the story from here - so many things could be different. I still want to see Faramir meet Frodo and Sam in Ithilien and lead them to Henneth-Annun and refuse the Ring; and it still could happen - or not.

Author Reply: Raksha! Thanks for the comments. We'll see, perhaps, why Theoden King knelt. And I cannot promise you where the Muse will take Faramir - though my thoughts, as I stated during My Sword Weeps, are definitely leaning towards HA and Frodo.... it is still most plausible... However, I am very sorry to say that it will not occur in THIS book. That chapter will be written in My Sword Reigns.

Faramir and the Muse did not want me to skip over the next almost thirty years of his life, which is what I had planned, and just go right into the War of the Ring... so that is why you are now seeing a book entitled, My Sword Trembles, instead of My Sword Reigns.

*%^)^@#* Muse!

Ah, well done, blessed child.

Author Reply: *heavy sigh* He is his father's child... Hopefully, he won't go mad. *shivers*

Oh, I hope he will not take the throne, but will keep it for the one who will come after. After all, he has seen that one now, whether or not he realizes who he was.

Author Reply: I am soooo looking forward to him meeting Aragorn - oops - Thorongil again!

Yes, yes! Hurrah Faramir! So young, yet so wise. More? Hugs, Neilia

Author Reply: *giggles* - did you doubt him??? I' telling!

NeiliaReviewed Chapter: 1 on 11/26/2007
Oh, goodness sake! After all they went through and little Faramir walks to the throne? Can't wait for the next chapter....well, where is it? *chortling*
Hugs, Neilia

Author Reply: It's almost done! I couldn't believe he did that either. I think Indis is ready to wring his little neck, but how can she, when she loves him so?

Glad to know your enjoying this already!
