I'm glad that Frodo is finally learning that particular lesson :) And I would like to see Bilbo teaching the Elves Westron. That would be funny, indeed. | I love it when a fic shows the lighter, more sparkly side of Elrond, instead of the more usual presentation of dignified ancient wisdom. He is wise, but there is such joy and caring in the way he goes about bringing the hobbits into the life and society of their new home. (Perhaps he's been affected by his association with hobbits!) Author Reply: Perhaps he has been! After all, Bilbo had been living in his House for many years. I suspect that Elrond's joy in being reunited with his wife (and possibly being able to reunite with his mother) must have had a lightening effect on his spirit. | |
