Ah, indeed, something new and young--and perhaps as scarred as the moon itself; but no less blessed! So sweet a tale of a Hobbit and spyglass! Frodo has stopped the moon in it's course with his song! Bilbo will be quite pleased with himself, I think. Your idea that the moon has been scarred in battle is a great explanation for the craters Frodo would have seen. Author Reply: Ahh, the power of hobbits! :) The idea that Tilion was attacked is something I remember from The Silmarillion, and from that I inferred that the moon would have been scarred. It's a fun concept to play with. | |
