Just A Cold  by Aelaer 69 Review(s)

Silly man does not know when he is sick, and should be in bed taking a nice long nap and maybe some ice cream for his throat. I visited the website you mentioned, in the first chapter, and want to thank you for all the wonderful fun I had there.

Author Reply: Ice cream sounds *really good* right now... *drools*

Glad you liked Tuckborough! It's one of my favorite LOTR sites, especially when it comes to their descriptions on obscure characters. They even have pictures from Decipher's cards, which is simply awesome.

Ainu, I'm so glad to see your muse is cooperating again. I missed your stories very much. And that was a great first chapter.

Elessar never learns, does he? Instead of admiting he's ill, there he goes again traipsing all over Minas Tirith. :LOL

I loved the bit about his chest of old clothes, and can't wait to see what is going to happen.

Oh we are sooooo good at deluding ourselves aren't we? Enjoying this and looking forward to more.

Author Reply: Delusion is fun! Most plots wouldn't exist if someone wasn't delusional ;)

Thank you for the review, hope you enjoy this next part as well :D

I loved the dialogue between Aragorn and Faramir. "Yes, Naneth" indeed!

Something tells me Aragorn is going to regret not taking care of that cold...

Author Reply: I like piling regrets on the characters. It's a fun pasttime.

Thanks for the review ^^

Oh Aragorn...You stupid, stupid Dunadan... *rolls eyes*

I did love Faramir joining in w/the distraction and how his and Aragorn's thoughts about the Guards were so eeriely similar. LOL!!

I've never had a sinus infection thankfully, but I've heard about them. Aragorn's going to pay for not listening to himself or Faramir.

Can't wait to see how this turns out. :oD

Author Reply: Sinus infections are absolutely awful.

And those of Dunedain lineage are known to be completely idiotic when it comes to their own well-being *nod* After all, no race dies out that easily without being somewhat self-destructive ;)

Thanks for the review :)

Very good.

Aragorn is sick for once and ignores it. It nice to see him sneak off, and farimir helping him, even that one guard seem to notice.

Very nice...

Author Reply: Thank you!

After my first reading of the Houses of Healing chapter, especially the last paragraph, I've been half convinced that he often cares more about the health of others than himself. Fanon doesn't help in this regard either ;P

The scenes between Faramir and Aragorn are so funny; I can just see Faramir's eyebrows contracting and detracting. But poor Aragorn! You describe his coming cold in such a way I started to feel ill. (I mean this in a good way. *grin*)
I hope Aragorn knows what he is doing... or will Faramir need to save him?
-Kitt

Author Reply: I blame all descriptions on personal experience. *winces* Saving? Why would the king need to be saved? Surely he would *never* get himself in trouble... *cough* ;) Thanks for the review.

Oh dear, I think our stubborn King is in for a rough time. I hope there's lots of love and healing along the way. :)

Author Reply: *thinks about it for a moment* Love and healing? Never heard of it. *halo falls off of head* Ah, no worries, he'll be fine- eventually. Thanks for the review ;)

An enjoyable start to your story.I liked the scenes for Aragorn and Faramir. Poor aragorn sounds as if he is getting flu or something.

Author Reply: Thank you! Yes, flus tend to be rather annoying and bothersome, don't they?
