| Oh my goodness! What an exciting beginning! I like the first part of the chapter, just the two of them enjoying their friendship and the peace and quiet. I could just imagine the scene as they rode. But good heavens--what a sudden reversal! (And, of course, I *LOVE* that it's Frodo who is taking care of him, and bravely going for help. When those he loves are in trouble, Frodo always proves his competence and strength of will!) Author Reply: I don't think Frodo and Aragorn would have had many opportunities to just enjoy one another's company without other people around (or a dangerous Quest to accomplish). I like giving them the chance. And it *is* fun to reverse roles once in awhile. *grins* | |
