To See A World  by Nightwing 18 Review(s)

Sleep, food, a wash and conversation with his best friend. What better way for Legolas to regain strength. It was certainly nice to see those quiet moments between the friends in the middle of the chaos in the city.

I love the way Legolas explained exactly how he knew it was Aragorn approaching. Nothing gets past that very perceptive elf.

Now, however, the inevitable trouble is coming. Orcs. Things are about to get very dicey, I’m sure.

Looking forward to more ON YOUR NEW COMPUTER!!! Tell your husband he does NOT want to face irate LoTR fangirls. That should frighten him enough to run right out and get you your laptop, don’t you think?. :o)

Author Reply: Orcs do seem to be inevitable, don't they? The darned things.

Husband is not running. He's not even walking. Prepare to hurl the rotten veggies!

Three years, six years, nine years -- I don't care how long this story will take. Good things spread out slowly are always enjoyable.

Author Reply: Thanks very much for sticking with me.

Yay! Good chapter! I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know I am still reading and enjoying! I'm not sure how many chapters it's been since I left a review... Anyway, still here and still loving every word! Keep up the good work, and I hope you husband gets you a laptop soon.

Author Reply: Thanks so much! I hope I get the computer soon too!

Welcome back, Nightwing. We've missed you, you know! I understand your computer dilemma as I had to get rid of my old one last month and the new one I bought on Oct.14th lasted a grand total of 11 days before breaking down! I only got it fixed yesterday---just in time! I will be sending as many good vibes your way as I can manage.Your husband should be prepared for a LOT of flying objects heading his way if that laptop isn't gifted to you soon :D

This chapter was well worth the wait.I love the idea of Aragorn commanding Legolas that he sleeps, even though there's a battle not far from where they are resting.Poor elf, though, he is at the end of his tether and probably not in the best condtion for dealing with a full-on fight just yet.I just love how Aragorn & Legolas care for each other.

I love the dialogue between Aragorn and Legolas. As ever, there isn't one false note in the way they interact and deal with each other. That Legolas recognises Aragorn's step as he returns to their room was a nice touch and the humour, about Aragorn's Kingly speech, was welcome.

So, the Orcs have come. Not good at all.Aragorn and Legolas will never leave the rebels to fight them alone so they have to do something.I'm dying to know what that something will be!

Wonderful chapter as always, Nightwing.Update as soon as you can.

Take care.

Ali.

Author Reply: Hey, I've missed you guys too! It frustrates me to get behind on updating. And I get worried too, that readers will wander away in my absence. I'm very grateful to see they didn't.

I'm glad you like the dialog. These two are completely comfortable with each other, and know each other well.

I sympathize with you. No compter...once mine broke down, and I had to wait a whole week before it was fixed. It was pure agony.

Great Chapter. I think I'll stick around for the end, my friend. It's just too a good of a story to put down.
:-P

Author Reply: Thanks much. It is difficult to imagine life without the Net. Whatever did we do without it?

Evil, evil cliffhanger.

Nightwing, you tell your husband to get a puter for you or all the loyal readers will hound him til the ends of Arda and beyond. LOL.

I didn't think the boys would just slip over the wall and wait for the outcome. I think they are going to be thrust into the center of things very quickly.

A fitting chapter, like the deep, calming breath before the action begins.

I will patiently await the next chapter, while I line up the rotten tomatoes, rolls of TP, squishy bananas, a few hard bricks ........

Robin

Author Reply: I don't think he's noticed the "vibe" coming from fanfic people yet. No sign of my laptop. Grrr... bring on the slimy produce!

It perhaps would have been more realistic for the elf and the ranger to just split and leave the city to itself, but how dull would that be? But I did like the quiet of this chapter too.

I can't write much right now -- I'm exhausted from doing way too much Hebrew homework, but if I don't say something now, I'll forget, and that would be bad.

I'm glad our heroes got at least a little respite. Legolas in particular was right at the fraying end of his rope, but a little rest, a little food, and a little TLC seem to have bolstered his spirits again. However, if it's really orcs that are coming, he'll need every bit of restoration he got.

Author Reply: Hello French Pony! I hope your graduate studies are going well.

I know - orcs are the most dreadfully tiresome things, aren't they?
