Dear Nightwing,

All my deepest love and blessings go out to you. I hold you in my heart and thoughts and always will, not only because of your wonderful story, which was one of the first I found when entering fanfic, but because when I ever interacted with you, you have been such a lovely person. It is my deep belief we will one day meet 'in person' as it were. Sending you peace, my dear.

Love Siân

My Dear Lori,
It is with great sadness that I write this. I know anything I, a stranger may write will seem hollow but please believe that your story has brought me many hours of enjoyment. I love your writing and TSAW will forever be a favorite.

Be Blessed Mellon, prayers and love go out to you and your family

Dear Nightwing/Lori,

I was very saddened to hear your news. You have had a very difficult time obviously and I cannot imagine how you have managed to write despite everything. Thank you for this tale - the relationship between Aragorn and Legolas was beautifully detailed. It has given me great pleasure to have followed this tale over the years.

I had wondered at times at the time intervals between updates but it all makes sense now. I am so sorry.
I wish you peace and no pain and blessings. With all my love. Noor

Lori,

I'm so sorry to hear about your situation. You fought a hard fight. Just know that you made a wonderful impact on us all and you won't be forgotten. Your writing is just great and I will miss it greatly. I have downloaded the story to a doc file for my own personal use that way I can read it and re-read it. Many blessings to you and your family.

Dear Lori,

I have tears in my eyes as I write this, but I do not know what to say. I am so sorry about the cancer, and that it is incurable.

First of all, I must tell you that I really enjoyed TSAW, and I especially loved the way you wrote and characterized Legolas and Aragorn in your stories: still young and adventurous, with just a bit of innocence and "recklessness" that they had already lost by the time we meet them "again" in LOTR. And I loved Tarnan and his relationship with our heroes. I was so looking forward to the rescue, and it saddens me that the tale will no longer be finished.

But more than that, I hope that you continue enjoying what you can. Middle Earth is indeed a great place to play and have fun. But the world is a great place too. Looking at the flowers, breathing in the fresh air. The sea, the sky...friends, family. Taking them all in is a blessing. And we appreciate them, just when we realize that we won't always have them. I know, because I have an incurable condition too. And though I might have much longer than you, it will not be any easier.

“I wish it need not have happened in my time," said Frodo. "So do I," said Gandalf, "and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.”

I hope you decide to breathe and enjoy life with the time that is given to you.

Take care always!
