Such a lovely family day indeed. I like the way the fun with the children propels the story--while the more somber undercurrents take second place for once. I do love your elves, especially your Galadriel, who seems a much warmer person than she is often portrayed in fic, without losing a speck of her dignity. And I also liked the little discussion about Amrothos and Nimrodel--a very nice little sidelight!

I enjoyed all of this, Bodkin, especially the little sidetrip on how the twins could be half elves. LOL. That always puzzled me too. I liked the way Elladan realizes too late that he shouldn't have revealed he and his brother have been running through the trees. I also like Elrohir's tentative exploration of the trees' voices. But the last few lines gave this depth. Where is home and who gets to go there?

Yes, we all have to go home eventually, don't we. Lynda

Well I sat down at my computer to see what the weather was this Sunday morning and I got The New Chapter story alert, I clicked on it and meant only to check it out and come back later, but got so caught up in the story that I forgot about the weather which I think is a great compliment to you! I loved that it showed how this family had progressed and Glorfindles insight about Amroth and his love, it was simply too good. Thanks Bodkin it was delicious!
