Sundry Scrolls III  by Raksha The Demon 108 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/12/2008
Oh, this is so priceless, Raksha! Absolutely perfectly delightful, particularly with the poor thing having to endure Tom's perky poetry! Hehehehehehehehehe! Thanks so for the giggle!

Author Reply: It's a good thing for Second that Sauron's Stone couldn't access Imladris (Vilya would protect the area I think), or he might have been forced to endure several courses of Tra-la-la, Come back to the Valley!...

Thanx for the review, Larner! I'm glad you got a kick out of the piece.

Oh I wondered what was coming but I didn't expect this! Good old Tom. I love him!

Author Reply: Yes, Tom's happy poesy would absolutely decimate the Nazgul I think. I'm glad you liked the piece, Inzilbeth!

Oh the difficulties of being the son of the father in peace time. A lovely moment.

Author Reply:

I think that there would have been occasional wars and expeditions; but this time was one of peace and, for the Rangers, a respite from duty. Thanx for reviewing!

No wonder Arwen would escape periodically to Lothlorien! Fortunately for the preservation of the Royal blood line, it seems none of Isildur's heirs were quite as determined in their pursuit of her as Aragorn II.

I loved the image of the grubby handfuls of flowers!

Author Reply: Probably most of them never dared seriously speak of marriage to Elrond! And grabbing some flowers for a lady one admires is a very boy thing to do; they don't know what else to do and they usually don't have more suitable gifts. (beats an orc-head, I suppose!)

I think Tolkien said somewhere that Arwen did visit Lorien frequently...

Thanks for the review, Inzilbeth!

So, it's hereditary then? That's a novel idea!

Author Reply: Not so much hereditary as a frequent rite of passage I think, in the Heirs of Isildur fostered at Imladris - they leave childhood, legs get long and gawky, their voices change, and then they see Arwen and want to be Beren to her Luthien, that is if they can get up their nerve to do more than stare.

I think Arwen had experienced this if not every time, then several times before she met young Aragorn in Imladris.

Ah, yes, wine had to be sampled, of course... Very amusing.

Author Reply: Well of course, one couldn't let it go to waste, and the Rangers were doing their duty in helping the villagers...Thanks, Virtuella.

Oh, that was a very unexpected ending, but it made perfect sense!
And: "Seventh of Nine", eh? LOL

Author Reply: Of course, Seventh of Nine! I absolutely could not resist that one, though of course Seventh does not fill out a catsuit the way Seven did; being undead and mostly fleshless and once-male...

Thanx for reading and reviewing, Virtuella!

What inspired silliness!

Third would have liked to suggest that his Dread Lord face that particular lone Ranger all by his Dread Self. But then, his Dread Lord did not have to wear robes and mantles that could easily catch fire from a brand wielded rather fiercely by the vicious woodsman.

Oh gosh, this is great. *wipes tears of laughter*

Author Reply: Well, I wouldn't have wanted to face that particular vicious woodsman either! Glad you enjoyed the piece, Shirebound; I had fun writing it. Thanx for the review!
