Celeritas' Birthday Bash 2009  by Celeritas 57 Review(s)

I do not know who this unnamed character is; I'm not familiar enough with the Silm, but I certainly do get the power of her feelings here.

How different to live in a world where the Powers are *known* to be real, where there are those who have met them, and for whom history is personal experience.

I can understand her bitterness.

Author Reply: Oh, it's an OC. But you know that someone had to be upset with the Valar (and the One) over the decision to kill Numenor.

What a beautiful conversation. Yes, good old Strider may be a King now, but he is as perceptive as ever, and he reads his small friend very well. It's so nice for Sam to realize he has so much in common with Aragorn.

And it may help for him to realize he won't have to wait forty years for Rose.

Author Reply: Nope, just another year and a good amount of tongue-lashing for up and running off to do worldsavingly things. ^_^

I like finding commonalities. *grin*

Aww...aww, that's so sweet, and so Pippin! I love the idea that he is so pleased at the return of the females to the White City. *happy sigh* He can hold the door for me anytime, sweet lad!

Author Reply: I'm now imagining mothers all over Minas Tirith chiding their sons: "Now, why can't you be gracious like that sweet noble pherian..."

Goodness! You collected quite a few prompts! I'm eager to see how you answered them!

Happy de-lurking anniversary! *grin*

Author Reply: Thank you! (I did bother some real-life people for prompts as well, but I don't think that counts as cheating.)

Oh! Thank you so much for this birthday mathom. It's as wonderful as I expected it would be! :)

Funnily enough, I only remember that there were eggs for breakfast on my wedding day too... for a similar reason! *giggle*

The last line was the best!

Happy Birthday!

Author Reply: Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! And that coincidence is quite uncanny.

The shipper within me couldn't resist taking the scene a little past before the wedding, so I'm happy you appreciated the last bit.

Thanks!!

I enjoyed every single one of these... especially Sam's talk with the King, and Frodo finally understanding the importance of at least one of those names that start with "F". What a lovely series of stories.

Author Reply: Thank you so much, Shirebound! I'm glad you enjoyed them.

This was just lovely.Thank you so much. Aragorn and Sam have more in common than they realise!

Author Reply: You're quite welcome! I think Aragorn's happiness over getting the girl would help Sam feel better about his extended absence from home.
