| I do not know who this unnamed character is; I'm not familiar enough with the Silm, but I certainly do get the power of her feelings here. How different to live in a world where the Powers are *known* to be real, where there are those who have met them, and for whom history is personal experience. I can understand her bitterness. | What a beautiful conversation. Yes, good old Strider may be a King now, but he is as perceptive as ever, and he reads his small friend very well. It's so nice for Sam to realize he has so much in common with Aragorn. And it may help for him to realize he won't have to wait forty years for Rose.
