| Fiondil, that squeal of delight followed by loud laughter coming from the southwest of you was me. :) I've been thinking about going back to re-read EI and EI2 as well as Elf Academy in order to get my Glorfindel fix; and so it was such a nice surprise to find this opening chapter in my email inbox when I got home from the kids' Wednesday night church activities. After reading the Darkening chapter (I'm slowly catching up on them as time allows), this confection was just what I needed to lift my spirits. I love how Glorfindel poked fun at himself with the comments about his maturity when he'd been released from Mandos and Lorien. BTW, I really liked the little interplay between him and Mithrandir. It seems appropriate to ask permission to share what he did about Mandos and Lorien. I'm sure that the forthcoming chapters will give us the opportunity to see the mayhem that is the production of a wedding extravaganza in all of it's glory. With the key players involved along with Glorfindel, I'm sure that there will be moments when Finrod and Amarie will wish that they could simply elope. :) Thanks for the gift of a new story! It's going to be great to go back to Aman to watch the fun. Thanks! Author Reply: Hi Rhyselle. The Darkening story is pretty depressing, I know, so hopefully, having this little confection to look forward to each week will make reading "Darkness" easier. | And he still hasn't matured, though right at the moment he is about the equivalent of a fun loving 18 year old! A good introductory chapter, other wise we would have had to read E.I.1 and 2! By the way when did Sador and his Allessiel get married or are they trying to out do Finrod and Amarie in length of betrothal? Waiting for Wednesday, Huggs, Lynda Author Reply: Hi Lynda. I purposely wrote this first chapter as a way of summarizing certain events in EI so readers (old or new) wouldn't have to go back to that story. At this point in time Sador and Alassiel have not yet gotten married, though they will be married eventually. It won't be as long a betrothal as Finrod's and Amarie's. He hasn't even reached 100 yet (not counting the timeless centuries he spent in Mandos), so he's still considered a bit young to be getting married. Anyway, thanks for reading and reviewing. | |

| Fiondil, this is going to be so good! I can't wait to see the wedding. As a side note, I will say that I feel sorry for Amarië, I remember that in EI I was annoyed with her, but after reading IDB, I do understand her better, whatever we liked or not, Finrod's departure was hard an painful to her, a betrayel. I don't think that he was fair with her in IE. And Galadriel, calling Lady Almáriel formidable, isn’t ironic? Waiting for more.... Author Reply: Hi Fantasia. Fantastic framework! A summer 'love story', and another I'll comb through to add names (if any) to your 'Trees'. I got a little lazy keeping the charts updated as I've gone through 'In Darkness Bound', but I'm catching up - I've gone in and added tiny crowns to those that were crowned at some point; it really helps to have the charts when names get all... wibbly-wobbly. | Thank you for this. I have wanted the story of the wedding for some time and am looking forward to reading about about it. The interaction between Glorfindel & Galadriel has made me smile lots.
