Vairė Was a Weaver, or, Real Men Wear Corsets  by Celeritas 112 Review(s)

And just HOW important it is remains to be seen, of course. Apparently frivolous, this is still a test of his love for her, after all, BY her and for her own purposes. AND boredom, too, of course--that does, after all, play its part. Wonder how the Khandis will react? Heh!

Author Reply: Yes, that's the question for everyone. Of course, the Khandis isn't there, for which they may all be grateful, but he'd certainly still be receiving reports about it!

Yes, Pippin is LOVING this! Heh!

Author Reply: And why shouldn't he?

Aha! So now the actual scheming begins. Which is it, then, who will wear that gold dress--Aragorn or Faramir? Heh! Boredom can be a dangerous estate, you know.

Author Reply: Boredom is very, very dangerous, especially when someone's writing fan fiction about you... :)

So, Pippin and Merry are busy doing their duty and filling their bellies after months of short commons, and Frodo and Sam contemplate going home now that the needs of the quest have been met at last.

Love the flair of uncertainty here. Much to learn now!

Author Reply: Yup, times they are a-changing!

Now, this sounds most interesting. I can wear most golds, but no black near my face--best way on earth to make me appear to be a zombie.

But it does appear that there will be--interesting--times upcoming in the new King's household. And love that she is uncertain how to dress herself in this Mannish court!

Author Reply: Black has that quality on a lot of people. But black's considered a "cool" color and gold a "warm" one, and I imagine that Aragorn's time in the wild would have given him enough of a tan that he could pull off warmer looks. Arwen, on the other hand, would have to be "cool" all the way through. And learning proper protocol has got to be difficult if you've been raised in an environment where no one has to prove their nobility by what they wear, etc.

Oh, I love it already! She has him over a barrel, and he knows it well!

Author Reply: And the party's just getting started...

*can't breathe laughing too hard* Oh dear sweet Valar Pippin just invented the mini-skirt-and-cycling-shorts look! XD

Author Reply: Well, I'm glad it hasn't scarred your brain, then!

Faramir gave him a look so unfathomable that Pippin decided just to ignore it

A line of excellent rhythm!
Isn't it the essence of the fandom's conventional view of these two?

Author Reply: Thanks! Most of my writing is not this "fanonish," but with something this lighthearted it was hard not to be. :)

This story is making me laugh. Thank you.

Author Reply: Thanks, Aiwen! I'm glad the tale is succeeding on that front.
