Back to Middle Earth BINGO  by Dreamflower 63 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 11 on 11/13/2020
Glad to read this again. Poor Buttercup--such an adventure for a creature built to stay close to the earth!

Wonderful! Every single word placed perfectly.

If only the end could have been brighter for Denethor and Finduilas...

Oh, what a portrait this paints of two I have loved dearly, in my own way, at least.

Beautifully rendered, Dreamflower.

Author Reply: Thank you very much, dear!

Alas for them both. I wish she could have survived. Denethor would have been happier and may wouldn't have been so hard on Faramir and the boy wouldn't miss their mother's love.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yes. I wonder why there are not more "Finduilas lives" AUs. I've only read a few, and all of them were short ficlets.

*sniff* This is very poignant.

Author Reply: Thank you! *hands you virtual hankie* Denethor/Finduilas truly is poignant.

I was going through past "canon couple dribbles" at the b2mem LJ, to get caught up on which ones I had done (I plan to do some more of them during next month's retrospective) and realized that one had never made it to SoA!

Report to the Post Office tomorrow at eight o' clock, then, and get your feather!

What a joyful announcement for Robin. You fill in this gap in the story beautifully.

Author Reply: Thanks! I like Robin very much as a character. He's clearly a very good friend to Sam (who named one of his kids after him) so I thought he deserved a little attention.

Now that's a POV I never thought about before!

Author Reply: Well, I had written of one regretful Ruffian in "Good King Elessar", and surely he was not the only one.

I think especially some of those recruited from the Bree-lands would feel bad when they found out what was expected of them. But once in, it would be very difficult to get out without getting killed.

This sounds like a story that hobbits would tell their children--an old piece of hobbit folklore, perhaps.

Poor Noddy! It did seem a good idea at the time.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

This is a hoot! It's so Sam and that movie line fits perfectly. Maybe Ogden Nash was copying him.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
