Love the ending! Yes, Tooks are interesting indeed, along with some others I could name. :) Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Catching up on stories I didn't get to during the Lenten fast. I love this sweet story and hobbits are child-like in a good way so it makes sense that Fatty would come here and have the blessing of some peace. Good job, my dear! Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

And I was just reciting that line to the pups! (Not that I want mashed pomeranian, mind you, much less stewed pom!) Now I'm tempted to do something based upon Shel Silversteins verse! Heh! Author Reply: I find that it's fun to parody certain poets-- Ogden Nash definitely has a unique style that's fun to play with! And that mix of prompts was just too tempting to my Nash muse...

I'm glad that Pippin and Diamond chose to ignore that silly rule! Poor Gerontius--having to settle such a silly quarrel! Author Reply: I am quite sure that the Old Took, with a smial full of Tooks had his share of silly quarrels to settle: but this one was sillier than most! LOL!

Certainly there were a few times when Frodo woke from his own untold dreams actually peaceful, when one or another of the Valar might perhaps have shielded him for a time from the voice of the Ring. And I hope that on that night Frodo was returning home, one day closer to Freddy's release! Author Reply: I agree about Frodo's dreams being a gift of peace, and somehow, I like to think of TPTB not restricting that to only one small hero, for there were others who struggled with the evil as well...

As I said elsewhere, the love and life they'd desired was at least granted them, and together they worked the land and fed their family. Beautiful! Author Reply: Thank you! I think they deserved the peace and quiet after all they'd been through!

The perfect day for it! I rejoice that they are at last wed in the sight of the Shire! Author Reply: At last! And at least Pippin's betrothal was not so long as his liege's! LOL!

The perfect description of the search for the perfect gift! Author Reply: Thank you! I love the idea of that blue mantle.

If his own people, including Castamir, hadn't been so snobbish.... Author Reply: True. I think that in creating for us the history of the kinstrife, JRRT reminds us that whatever the Numenoreans have in their heritage that is good, they also have that which is flawed. The Men of the West were not pure evil-- but they had some massive faults, and pride was one of their worst.

At least Arathorn will leave that Hope behind him. Bittersweet. Author Reply: Yes, that pairing is inherently bittersweet! As Ivorwen knows to her own sorrow.
