It's an interesting gap to fill of how long that journey took Boromir and i'm glad to see some glimpses of how Boromir passed that time and what he saw and experienced.

At least Elrond is experienced enough with those who have traveled long and must stand and report to anticipate what will be most appreciated! Heh! Most appropriate!

I, too, would be having to find my courage in that situation.

Oh, yes, tripping could well be cause for further embarrassment and possibly even personal injury!

What a sweet moment between Pippin and Boromir.

Too cute! I must admit, I remember that when my brother was born (I was almost 4 at the time), I was quite dismayed by the fact that he wasn't much of a playmate right off the bat. Although, at least I wasn't hoping he'd play swords!

Thanks for a sweet story. :)

This is wonderful! Not only is your writing rich and evocative, I love the connection between stories that you made through the riddle. Poor Pippin: I bet he wishes Bilbo had stuck to sharing brighter stories all those years ago!

A good thought to keep one shivery and tense, obviously! Poor Pippin! Glad that Gandalf took pity on him in the end.

Poor guy! It's easier to fight an army of orcs than a flying squadron of insects almost too small to see but large enough to torment a man!

Oh, yes, a good thing to look forward to! And love Boromir wishing to present his new boy cousin with a sword!
