That the Valar should intervene! We are reminded just how important it is to the future of Arda that Elrond survive. Each of the family is locked into his own hurt, so perhaps the shock of seeing how their attitudes affect the future of Imladris is the wake-up call they need to reconcile. Looking forward to your next post Lai.

Author Reply: it was high time for the Valar to intervene indeed! All three peredhil have to be brought out of their destructive course. The next post is almost done. Thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Semmley. Lai

Now, this is indeed an indication that it is time for new beginnings, and for all three of them! To meet in such a situation will demand that they rebuild their relationships with one another in order to see the Last Homely House reconstituted.

Author Reply: yes, no distraction for our three peredhils. And it is high time for a new beginning and understanding. The forced meeting will bring a decision. Thanks for your review, Larner. It´s really appreciated. Lai

As I quessed, one of Fiondil's favorite Valar to the rescue. He has taken the three of them to someplace where they will not be disturbed, but where are they really? Or, as Madeline L'Engle had a character say in a book of hers, where the characters travel through both time and distance, are they in "their own WHERE, but a different WHEN?" This might be in a re-creation of Imladris, somewhere in Lorien or the halls of Mandos. Or, it might be the vale of Imladris before Elrond led his band of refugees there and built what became a refuge for all who fought the dark. Or, the most interesting possibility of all, It might be an image of what might become of the valley of refuge if the three Peredhel abandon their watch. The rest of its people might then sail, or join the other realms, Lothlorien, perhaps. Several generations to come of Northern Dunadain would find themselves even more truly alone. Several generations of Isidur's heirs would be without a refuge. And, most notably, the future for fourteen dwarves, five Hobbits, a troubled man of Gondor, and a grieving Chieftain's widow and her tiny fatherless son would be very different. I will be waiting anxiously!

Author Reply: you are right. Namo has choosen a place where the three of them will not be disturbed to sort out their feelings - no elves, no vibrating Imladris, no friends - nothing. Its an Imladris of the past, untouched and wild before Elrond led any refugees there. The outcome of the talk will decide how the vale will look like. Thank you so much for reviewing, demeter d. I really appreciate it. Thanks Lai

Wow! Always darkest before the dawn...goes an old proverb. Elladan has finally opened himself to those he loves, but it seems to be "too little and too late." As Larner has said, all four in this chapter are in bad shape. Perhaps now, though, all will be willing to listen to your mysterious outside help.

Author Reply: can it get any darker? Elladan has waited too long and must now face the consequences. Outside help is more than nedded now. Thank you so much for reviewing, demeter d. Lai

FINALLY, you're back and with a new chapter! It's getting very interesting now, seems to me that Lord Namo is going to force a family intervention. Update soon.

Author Reply: yes, Namo has no other option left and with a Valar involved it could get interesting. Update is one the way. Thank you for a most appreciated review. Lai

Whoa, Lai! Námo to the rescue! This chapter is so cool. Can't wait to see what our favorite Vala gets up to with Elrond and his sons. Loved the interplay between Námo and Vairë. Thanks, Fiondil.

Author Reply: thank YOU for your lovely review, Fiondil. I´m so glad that you as a Valar expert like my interplay with Namo. Now let him bring our family back to the line. Lai

Both brothers are in pain though for different reasons and from different sources. Both are fleeing but in different directions. And their father lies dying, willfully severing all contact with the outside world. He too is fleeing. This family definitely needs help of a divine nature to heal them and bring them back together. It is a bloody mess for sure.

Author Reply: a bloody mess -uh! But you are right of course. This family needs help from the outside. They can no longer find healing on their own. I have to add some "divine" characters into the mess I fear. LOL!
As always thank you so much for a most appreciated review, Fiondil. Lai

It is hard to say who is in the deepest crisis here. Poor brothers, poor father, poor guardian/advisor. All are in great pain right now.

Author Reply: you are right. The whole family is standing on the edge. But who can help them now? Thank you for reviewing, Larner. Lai

It seemed they finally were going to bring healing and help but then they ran away again. How very sad indeed.

Author Reply: the twins have no strenght left to bring healing, I fear. Help has now to come from the outside. Thank you so much for reviewing, Ellie. Lai

Wow, this was great. Now I am worried that Elladan will give up the ghost next. You should really go and check on your brother Elrohir. update the next one soon.

Author Reply: it looks not good for our favourite brothers indeed. Someone must now intervene before all is lost. THank you so much for a most appreciated review, Imamc. Lai
