told me about his home in the Shire and his dozens of relatives. I was fascinated, believing then that I had only my mother as kin.

What a nice detail that is. :)

Indeed the Music included this joy for Mankind while including the grief for Elvendom. Yet there can be no greater delight than to see the Music fulfilled as it has been. Indeed Elrond will find the more joy for having known losses such as he has endured in his long life.

I rejoice that you were inspired to add this chapter!

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I'm pleased you liked this chapter. I truly believe everything happened as it was meant to be.

Always good to see you working on this. The chapter is very evocative and I think about right for where Aragorn would likely be for much of his life on this issue. Resolution is never quite as clean as authors of all kinds wish to make it in their stories. Thanks for your hard work on this, I will greet further installments with pleasure.

When she espied her husband, her eyes lit up.

And that is the most important thing for Aragorn to see, and his heart to know.

Author Reply: Thank you. That is so true.

Suilaid, Linda. Long time fan of your writings. This has got to be the most heart touching (is there such a saying lol) piece that I have read. Good job. Would love it though if you would name those Imladris elves still around. :)

Author Reply: Thank you, I'm delighted you enjoyed this so much. I fear I've not thought much about which Elves are still there, though I mention some in the story.

Interesting chapter though I believe your thought on Eowyn's relatively limited lifespan may be partially incorrect as Morwen (Eowyn's grandmother I believe?) is supposedly of high numenorian stock . Still, the general culture shock issues would definitely be right on and I thank you for your hard work on this.

Author Reply: Thank you. I think Eowyn should have a long life, but not as long as Faramir's or Aragorn's who had more Numenorean ancestors. It was interesting thinking about how Rivendell might effect Eowyn.

I am glad Aragorn sang that song that evening. A poignant pleasure to hear, I am certain. But well worth it!

Author Reply: Thank you.It is a touching song.

I never thought about Bilbo's beautiful and poignant verse to also be singing a song of the Elves in these days of transition for them. That's a very perceptive idea.

Author Reply: Thank you. I felt Bilbo's lovely song fitted this occasion.
