| Oh goodness, the horror that poor Frodo managed to escape by sailing West. Master of Lawyers sounds like a sentence to be declared on someone you want to stick back in the cobwebbed portions of the largest smial. Lovely discussion between Pippin and his Da. Yes, all three of them - Merry, Pippin and dear Sam did a great deal of good while the Shire was in their tenure. Author Reply: And the two of them are actually communicating fully for the first time since they got back from their prolonged trip Outside. Yes, the Shire was well served by Merry, Pippin, and Sam. And I suspect Frodo would have been appalled to be made Master of the Guild of Shire Lawyers. After all, in my-verse he's a scholar, a copyist, a bookbinder, and has his wallet open to help others get themselves set up on farms and in businesses. I doubt he'd ever given much thought to lawyering until he found himself deputy Mayor! Thanks so! | |
