Elf Academy 4 - The Unfinished Tales  by Fiondil 18 Review(s)

Alex in Vala-la-land! *giggles at the fact that sharonb almost exactly anticipated the title, though she suggested it for the previous chapter* (Also, kind of wondering why this particular chapter is UTfrog's 'Second Best Fiondil Chapter' - wondering what the first is :D )

So I'm sitting here in the Cliff House garden (by Atto Fiondil's eternal flame), reading from my new iPad Mini and very amused at the Elves' reactions to Alex, not to mention HIS reaction to THEM. Yahoos, indeed...*snicker* Atya, wouldn't I love to know if Alex ever read Gulliver's Travels...I wonder if he ever told you that, Beta Amiga nettenyar? Or is he just using 'yahoos' in a slang ish way?

And oh lord, what a way for the Elves to find out about Nell and Gareth...

The fight with the Maiar went about as well as I've come to expect. They don't call him "sword-brother" lightly. He's as good as Glorfi :) I miss Glorfi *pets* I hope his fading will be healed somehow. I would suggest an Amanian healer somehow look at it...But it seems like all of Aman seems to be slowly fading, without estel. What have the Feanturinildi been doing all this time?

Maedhros cracks me up. I'm assuming, taking "FAULT: The Doctor Is In" into account, that the reborn Maedhros has "remembered" his missing hand. "Alexgrant" indeed! Heh :) But of course he wouldn't get the comparatively recent way of forming surnames in Western Mortal cultures. (And to be fair, some Mortal cultures still do patronymics, though I couldn't say how many.)

I think Alex needs a stiff drink, after all this. :P

Waiting eagerly for the next installment, whenever RL permits.

With love to you all, Beta Amigas, fellow Fiondilie, as I sit by Atto Fiondil's eternal flame burning in the Cliff House garden,

Kaylee

Wow! If Alex is able to wipe the floor with a Maia when he is surprised by one, having only his bare hands for defense, I really wonder how he would fare if he had a salt shaker to hand...
And Maedhros in Wiseman?? That will be ...interesting! And given the way Maedhros reacted, he WILL go there, no doubt about that!

Wow! What a chapter, what an imagination!

I really miss Fiondil, his stories helped me through a very dark time in my life, so all I can do is offer my deepest and most heartfelt thanks to the three board members who have worked so hard to bring us this.

It must be a very dull, self-satisfied elf who was not impressed by Alex's speeches and actions in that Council chamber.I'm glad that Alex told them what's what, and showed them just what he can do. Perhaps that might galvanise some of them to get off their backsides and start living again.

If they all wanted Nielluin in their families so much, why didn't they get on with courting her and arranging a marriage. Talk about having eons of time to arrange everything. Nielluin is definitely better off with Gareth than with any of these sorry ellons. I really can't blame her for not wanting to stay in Aman, but wanting a real life in Middle Earth, where she can have some fun.

Perhaps Celeborn will be more accepting of Gareth now. He might realise that though Gareth has very little in the worldly sense, he has experience and a fighting spirit. I really can't see him wanting to pay tax either.

I do approve of the three kings telling their peoples that it's reproduce or pay tax. What's the point of having a long life if you don't have children and grandchildren to make it a happy one?

Now perhaps Valinor will wake up and start to live again.

Oh, this was hilarious! So Alex finally met Manveru and Erunáro - good! But the best part was Maedhros taking to him at once and wanting to go to ME to learn unarmed combat from him. Speaking of which... does Maedhros has both hands again in this 'verse? Cause otherwise it would be a bit hard to achieve.

That is the second best chapter of all of Fiondil's stories! Wow oh wow!!! Loved every bit of it.

Wow!!!
Sounds like a few Maia may have to set up sparring classes like they did with Glorfindel.

Go Alex, dropping the Truth bombshells left and right, and it looks like he may have found himself a friend (or at least an admirer). This could prove to be very amusing :)

AARGH! I've been waiting for this all week - it was worth it! Wait until Alex finds out (at some point) that it wasn't a dream. It will be interesting to find out how they deal with Maedhros' raging desire to learn unarmed combat (maybe Maglor can straighten him out!).
