Wow, this is beautiful! And I really like the quote from Leonard Bernstein.

Author Reply: Oh, thank you so. And for the quote, thank the moderators of the B2MEM in 2009. I thought it very apt, also.

That is a clever scene to write about. Would never think of that.

Author Reply: Thanks. It was hard to think how I should approach the subject this second time.

aww that's sweet! I liked this a lot. :) Very cute moment.

Author Reply: The size and luxury of the rooms in Annuminas must have been overwhelming for Elanor, or so I'd think. But trust her dad to put her thinking aright.

Precious indeed. I hadn't thought of his possible backstory before. We know so little of it. Wish he could have remained as you have him but it was all meant to or allowed to happen as it did. Alas for Smeagol.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: His choices brought him to an evil life, but in the end Eru managed to bring great good out of that evil, using evil actions to subdue worse evil, perhaps allowing Smeagol to emerge out of Gollum once more.

Always grateful to hear of Isildur's brave act. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: We need to remember this willingness to serve his people as he did, knowing it could cost him his life.

Always a comfort to visit in dreams where we can no longer in the waking world. Great to have him travel once more in beloved lands. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: He does need reassurance now and then that his own sacrifices were well made, after all! Thanks so, Antane!

He fell, then rose, and died a grace-filled death, even if he thought he failed, he did not. I am glad he died with a smile on his face, even amid such agony. A lot of power in a few words here. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Yes, he redeemed himself beyond his expectations.

Thanks so, Antane.

Well said.

Author Reply: Thank you so!

Oh, yes! This is exactly what I'd imagine Boromir was thinking. He was, after all, a noble and honorable Man.

Hope you and yours are doing well. It was so good to see you and the new little one.

Author Reply: Other than not having proper telephone service due to the heavy rains and winds getting into the junction box, we're doing okay so far. Melian is so much her own dog, I'm learning. She is a dear, but far more sensitive than Pandora was, I find.

Love to your Panda, the hubby, and the girls.

How little things have changed - the British guards still stand so still and silent at their posts - Pippin would like these and definitely relate to them. :) I like his spin on things. And we have our own standing guard at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier - I have such respect for these guys.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I know. Have stood by the Guards at Buckingham Palace and thought on Milne's poem about Christopher Robin going down with Alice! Those on guard have little thanks too often for the service they render.
