Quick version: Early thirties, librarian, parent, spouse, owned by one dog and one cat. Live in the frozen North, hence the username. Have been a voracious reader since the age of 3, according to my mother. Narnia, the Dark is Rising sequence, the High King series, and of course the Hobbit and LOTR, made me into the person I am today. I wrote scraps of "fanfiction" (not realizing what it was) and original fantasy as a teenager, but it was Peter Jackson's movie adaptations and discovering the existence of Tolkien fanfiction through them that brought me back to writing. After eight months of very little writing I'm trying to get back into the swing of it, so I'm issuing an open invitation: ask for a drabble featuring your favourite Tolkien character, theme, or place. I'll fulfill your request to the best of my ability.
