Speedy Hobbit

Hi, my name is Cher, and I have been an avid Lord of the Rings fan since December 2001 when Fellowship of the Ring came out. I was a ninth grader who had never read the books before, and who... blasphemous though it is to say on this website... attempted to read "The Hobbit" in sixth grade and didn't actually enjoy it at the time. (My tastes in sixth grade were more Sweet Valley, Babysitters Club, the Clue books, you Be the Jury books and similar.) The Fellowship of the Ring movie convinced me to try "The Hobbit" again. While I didn't like it in sixth grade, I LOVED it in ninth, and I immediately read all of the Lord of the Rings books- and loved them too. So there's how I entered this fandom. Now, as a 30-something adult? I'm a librarian, LARPer, runner and racewalker.
