Thanks for the encouragement. Will keep going all the way to chapter 6 (the end). At least this story is finished and beta-read, already. That's a help. All I have to do is incorporate the beta changes, chapter-by-chapter.

Oh, this is wonderful! "Then his questing fingers found fabric, a sleeve; he reached further and discovered a small hand. Taking it in his own, he felt the small fingers twitch as he closed his hand around them." What an amazingly detailed perspective to be taking on this oh-too-brief part of the book.
