Esmerelda? I thought Shireladies were named after flowers. Oh well, that tells you the limits of MY herb-lore. :) Marvelous, simple F & E story. Thank you.

Thevina, I really loved this story, it moved me a lot. I do a lot of craftwork myself, so I loved the image of Eowyn learning straw weaving at her mother's knee and sharing the gifts of her heart with those she cares about. I've been teaching my Gr. 5 class to needlepoint for the last two days and I really saw myself in the mother and child passing the crafting tradition from one generation to the next. Thanks for this lovely story.

Thank you so much, Allison! It was the mixture of materials that would have been available to the Rohirrim and the complexity of Eowyn's life that "braided" this story together. I am so glad that you enjoyed it. It's a favorite of mine, too. :)
