mystarlight · 17 December 2019 · Chapter 18: The Measure of a Foe
Really looking forward for Thranduil and dwarves!!!
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 17: In Crowning Triumph
Almost midnight and I can't end my reading again not that I do my best trying :). Thranduil was fighting with the wrath?! I can only say wow! Looking forward for this scene. What sort of rift was between Thranduil and Celeborn? I thought that they tried to get on well in We were young Once. Gimli could be a great Elf :) but I think he is a bit unfair for Thranduil. As a king he had to find money for supplies, arms and other stuff, Legolas didn't have to worry about it. For Thranduil money is the source to make his people'lives easier, I remember well the scene when he got rid of crowns to buy food. He's not definitely greedy. Wonder if Legolas mentioned about it to Gimli. Who cares about sleeping :D? There are too many great chapters for reading :).
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 16: Fading Voices
I really enjoy every moment of this breathtaking story but can't wait for Thranduil meeting Thorin. I am so glad you followed canon with Haldir.
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 15: Light And Shadow
It is really difficult to put it down and even more difficult to return to a normal life :).
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 14: By Fangorn's Leave
Awesome development of Tolkien's ideas.
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 13: Truth In Lies
Fantastic chapter!!!
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 12: Light In the Darkness
Love the friendship between Legolas and Gimli and looking forward for the first meeting Thranduil and Gimli :)
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 11: Farewell, Fare Free
Legolas made a decision to sail at last. It was unavailable for him but Thranduil will be alone if he stays. Can't wait for your thoughts on that matter!!!
mystarlight · 16 December 2019 · Chapter 10: Promise Me This
Eowyn heard some bitter truth but I can't imagine a better person who could do it better and help her understand that not only valiant deeds matter.
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 9: The Victorious Dead
Great story and page turner and absolutely addictive!!!
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 8: To Smile Again
3 dimensional characters I really love!!!
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 7: Dream and Memory
Glorfindel summarized really well that Valinor is finding those who had been lost. Wonder how it is possible for Thranduil to know the call. Did he feel anything similar and managed to replace sea with trees? I forgot to write about Legolas' circlet in the first chapter. Did all lords get them back?
Author's reply
You'll see. :D
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 6: Use these Days Wisely
He feels sea longing!!! Poor Thranduil. Love your explanation of sea longing as desire to have a home which cannot be destroyed and family who can live!!!
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 5: All Is Fading
Awesome interaction Legolas with Glorfindel. I am really glad that Legolas managed to say his mind. I don't like Glorfindel in We were young once :). This Glorfindel at least noticed that Thranduil was right from the beginning.
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 4: The Road Ahead
Love the atmosphere of this chapter so suitable for King's funeral.
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 3: Ride With Me
Did Legolas mean his fiancée who sailed after the orcs' attack the fairest? Does he feel sea longing? Awesome chapter as usual :)
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 2: Beneath the Stars
Poor Eomer! I would jump out of the balcony if suddenly someone started to talk to me in the darkness :D. Wonderful conversation between Legolas and king of Rohan. Fears and doubts are described perfectly. I often wondered why Legolas was introduced without his father's name as his companions did.
mystarlight · 15 December 2019 · Chapter 1: Not Forgotten
To me it seems you walk in the spirit of your kinsman of old, Beleg Cúthalion, rightly named the truest of friends-again you made me forget about breathing!!!i love your portrayal of Legolas. Is it situated in the same world as We were young once?
Author's reply
It surely is! Thanks for reading. :D
Ocrelune · 24 January 2018 · Chapter 3: Ride With Me
And now we get Gimli's point of view. I like how you show us how all the characters think and feel. I love how they joke together... "If they could only get by together without hissing and spitting at every turn", "you are a daffodil" and the "I am glad I am not you" at the end of the chapter made me laugh... It shows how well they get along that Legolas doesn't take offense at it even if he doesn't understand it. And that Gimli didn't say it to be insulting, but that it was a sensible conclusion of his musings.
Ocrelune · 24 January 2018 · Chapter 2: Beneath the Stars
It is fascinating how this chapter presents us the men side of the story... fans of Tolkien know about the elven kings and queen (and we know they are "good guys" since LOTR is more or less written from their point of view), but for the men they are these mysterious (and scary) beings out of legends... being so short-lived compared to them, it is no wonder that they don't really know or understand them.
Ocrelune · 12 January 2018 · Chapter 1: Not Forgotten
Great start! The way Legolas and Aragorn are in character is spot on... Legolas going back home and exploring ME with Gimli is something I always was curious about... so glad you wrote about it... I can't wait to read the rest!
Author's reply
Thank you! I hope you enjoy the rest. :)
Tari · 26 August 2016 · Chapter 99999
You were only 18 when you wrote this. That's is amazing. This was an excellent story with a delightful end. I love your writing so much that I will look for another story to read. (I don't read 1 chapter tales.)
Tari · 13 July 2016 · Chapter 15: Light And Shadow
Another wonderful chapter. I would dearly love to see a horse lay down next to a human with its head on their lap. It's hard enough to get a horse to lay down. A horse head on a lap? I don't think so.
Tari · 12 July 2016 · Chapter 14: By Fangorn's Leave
The breaking up of the fellowship is always hard for me to read. It brings tears to my eyes. I can't even watch the entire end of the Return Of The Kings. This was a great chapter.
Tari · 6 July 2016 · Chapter 12: Light In the Darkness
What an excellent chapter.
